Get the most out of your old wildfire by rooting it.Start by doing it if you have Hboot ver 001 and then install CyanogenMod 7.2 powered by gingerbread 2.3.7. Keep in mind chainfire 3d is useless on this model. better off with a 800mhz processor or higher to play the minimum old 3d games.

Nilab, 29 Jun 2012The worse phone ever!! it used to freeze all the time, the keyboard isn't comfortable at all,c... moreyou can solve the problem with the keyboard downloading SwiftKey X, it is great. you don't need to use the original keyboard, wchich, i agree, is not good.
As far as the browser is concerned, I am using Opera Mobile, it works excellent with this phone and is is quick,so download this one and you will see the difference straight away..the original phone's browser is too sluggish

htc wildfire is good and easy to operate but the internal memory and the RAM are too small for it. I have been using it for the past one year now. Please upgrade the internal memory to 3G like in SAMSUNG GALAXY POCKET. The phone complains memory is low whenever some important softwares are being installed. Wilfire is more than 512 RAM or 380 internal memory. Again the phone used to be very hot when browsing. Create means of reducing the effect of heat on the phone.

Does anyone know how to unlock the network with this phone? I need some sort of code or unlock to use it, even with SIM Card in. Please help.

Its a very good mobile!! And I just read few comments complaining its touch but that is not true at all!It has got a great touch!!

I am using this phone from one and a half year and its responding very well. Its a good phone. Just a little problem is that its having less internal memory and ram.

Hi,
hTC wildfire touch is sensitive. i bought this phone 1`1/2 years back. I got the touchpad problem(screen mal-functioning in desktop, numbers are not dialing while trying to make call, opening apps unexpectedly,etc.) from the 8th month since the handset bought. Then i scolded at the mobile shop owner to service the mobile in working normal condition. I get my mobile back with new touchpad. Now its normally functioning and one more thing stick scratchguard asap to avoid touchpad issues:)

I hv been using this phone since 2yrs and there is no problem at all...just the thing is , it cannot be upgraded beyond 2.2....
