Very nice phone with nice spec.
Very small and easy to handle.
When compared to wildfire it has GPU.
Going to take this phone for this April.
wouldn't it be a tad better if salsa had touch sensitive controls too & both salsa and wildfire s had multi-touch??
even the previous wildfire had it
Wildfire s has radio...Just see the gallery of wildfire S at HTC worldwide site...There a image showing the menu items.. also SALSA has radio..
wildfire has a 16 m colors and in this phone only 256k colors might be low resolution but who know my suggestions to those persons that wait to launch this phone and see it's all specifications and unbox and other video review perhaps should wait to fall price down too thnax
nicksti, 16 Feb 2011Silly observation:
Incredible S has a S-LCD screen.
Desire S has a S-LCD screen.
Wildfi... moreS seems stands for slimmer. Or a better option, like the naming in Porsche (Carrera S, Cayman S etc.)
Oh, and the old HTC Desire has S-LCD screen option besides AMOLED.
when is this gettting launch . and i belive this is going to be the good one
why HVGA? why can't HTC use VGA and the old processor 528mhz.. and 512 rom and ram? and a resistive touch screen.
It might suck though considering that a resistive screen lacks multi touch.. or it might be a brilliant idea for a budget phone..
the reason for the resolution is that its a 3.2 inch screen.. you wouldnt notice the difference from a really high resolution screen.. stick with the desire then.. this is actually the perfect phone for me.. i want to keep this in my pocket..
dragon, 18 Feb 2011dude first ppl were complaining about WILDFIRE'S qvga screen and now u re saying that HVGA is... moreI dunno if this is an error since this phone's only been announced, but this only has a 256k color screen while the original wildfire had a 16 million color screen..
TG, 16 Feb 2011Disappointing! Wildfire original was launched with low resolution, without flash this was a go... morewhen are they going to launch this phone. Currently the wildfire is out of stock at many stores with no new stock coming in.
dragon, 18 Feb 2011dude first ppl were complaining about WILDFIRE'S qvga screen and now u re saying that HVGA is... morewhich mobile isthe best one and my budget is 15thousand Guyyyyyyyyyssssss reply me ASAP...........
No radio, less talk time, less colour (only 256k where as previous version has 16million colour). Better EDGE speed, better OS, slightly better processor and RAM than previous version.
Anonymous, 16 Feb 2011NEGATIVES compared to the original wildfire
+ much better screen resolution
+ Wifi N
+ More Ram
+ Bluetooth 3.0
+ Faster CPU
I am inclined to agree that the original Wildfire looks *marginally* better than this new one. Not a deal breaker.
neo, 17 Feb 2011Poor HVGA screen, does not matter if it costs 50$ more unless it has minimum 3.7 800x480 scree... moredude first ppl were complaining about WILDFIRE'S qvga screen and now u re saying that HVGA isnt gud enough????????? its supposed 2 b a BUDGET phone so they have 2 cut down on some features !!!!if u want such a hi resolution y not buy THE DESIRE ???? OR BETTER STILL THE IPHONE 4?????
I'll buy one in a heart-beat. Coming from an old Symbian phone, to me this is heaven... and a very affordable heaven I might add.
Is there any info on the price of this device?
The old Wildfire was kinda crappy because of the screen but this one has a slightly better resolution. But i wonder what will be the impact on the price because of this. The old HTC Wildfire costs around 289 EUR here in Slovenia (retail open sale).
will this nxt version suport live wallpapers or just like old wildfire not suport live wallpapers(officially i.e not without rooting)
If HTC Wildfire S and HTC Salsa are in same price range then I'll go for HTC Salsa, as the bettery of Wildfire S is really poor...
I was hoping that wildfire 2 would have better bettery backup, but very disappointed.. If it would have Li-Ion 1500 mAh, like optimus one, it goona be best seller of this year...
Will it support Li-Ion 1500 mAh ?? then I'll love to be buy this little beauty...
