So if B137 is in fact Lollipop then I guess it is still buggy considering the fact that it's not been officially released yet.
So last night my phone was on 72% at 1am, I woke up at almost 9am. My bettery was on 69%. Everything was off: wifi, 3g, apps
Hi all! I am using Huawei mate 7 already about 3 months. And this phone is great. Battery life, big beautiful screen and everything else is just wonderful. The only minus is that we still don't have lollipop update...

It's been 8 days since I got it and only charged it for like 5 times. I know batteries must undergo several charges in order to reach the peak performance.
I turned off everything and closed all apps before going to sleep. I don't know if 5% is good

My mate 7 is still losing energy after updating it to B137. It looks like it's better, though. It has lost some 10% in 4.30 hours. It's still doing badly , I know.
I've tried Pc Mark' battery work benchmark and both times it scored 4.20 minutes, from 100 to 20% ( screen brightness at 40%, wifi, GPS and all battery saving features on (smart profile), no apps in the background)
The test is quite reliable and a good picture of what a continuous usage would do to your battery. And, I see it could last for some 5 hours of screen on time, not too bad, but it should be 7 hours. Don't you think?
Please, the ones who are getting 7 hour of screen on time and everyone, do this test and tell us.
My LG G3 doesn't loose energy while idle. It can stay 100% for at least 15 hours. This Mate 7 should not lose anything also.
Please do the PC MARK battery benchmark test.
I have been using the mate 7 for 6 months and there is no software update. Find it strange because previous phone from Asus and Samsung have updates regularly.
Which one is better ? Huawei Ascend Mate 7 , HTC M8 , Sony Xperia Z2 ??

But irrespective of how much juice my mate7 is losing in idle mode iam quite satisfied with over all battery performance.
It is usually lasting for more than 1 day with heavy usage as I have already mentioned in my previous post.
I always keeps on gps and WiFi.
After reading eisley reply I google about battery lasting performance in idle mode and i found that usually the battery level of any android smart fone drop 1 to 2% in a period of 10hrs so dats fine and quite comprehensive.
I have no idea why my mate 7 is losing aleast 5% in idle mode over a period of 10hrs.
I haven't used any battery testing benchmark app yet like geekbench 3 etc.

In general over a night I lose almost 3% in idle mode with sim on ,WiFi on and gps on always.
How come your cell is losing 5 to 8 % in a night?very strange

Very good device in terms of battery performance ,processor,ram,6inch full HD screen....awesome
Better opt for 32 gb rom / 3gb ram version(dual sim version).
Eisley, 15 Sep 2015Is yours losing from 5 to 8% of battery life over night letting it idle? Wow man, that sounds ... moreCouple of days back I disconnect my mate7 from charging around 9pm and in the morning around 7am the battery balance was 95%.
So in 10 hrs my fone just consumed only 5% in idle mode.
I also have samsung A8 and I have already compared battery consumption between two devices and I found that mate 7 is way better.
After heavy usage of 24 hrs to 36 hrs(with 3g/WiFi continues on and moderate gaming/utube) I have to charge it again.
Anyways it's only 1 month that I have been using mate7 so obviously I have no great idea that how my mate7 will perform after a decent period of time.
My Mate 7 details.
Model# huawei MT7-TL10.
Android version # 4.4.2
EMUI # 3.0
Build version # MT7-TL10V100R001C00B128.
Don't do factory reset again rather better to visit authorise service centre because frequent factory reset won't work for battery consumption related issues.
Eisley, 15 Sep 2015Is yours losing from 5 to 8% of battery life over night letting it idle? Wow man, that sounds ... moreurs is losinh that much, its not the device that is having some problems. Its user error coz mine works almost perfect and doesn't loose that much battery in idle.
Hey guys ,,, I am going to buy a new smart phone ,, but i am so confused between Huawei ascend Mate7 & Huawei P8 ....... I am so afraid of the battery of P8 because if it's low durability ( 2680 mAh) although it's amazing features ,,, besides the battery of the Mate7 ( 4100 mAh ) which is much more higher in durability than the P8 .,,,
please help me taking the best decision ,,, thanks :)

For example, my LG G3 stays 100% for like 15 hours or more. (I don't use it anymore since I'm testing my Mate 7). Isn't that worrying for you?
Anyway, my mate 7 is still losing power over night, this time it lost 7% in more or less 4 hours over night.
This is very very wrong. And yes, I have everything from Huawei's battery saving configuration set to save battery life. No apps in the background is allowed, etc.
Please good mate 7 users, help me out.
Would you please share how battery life is doing these latter days after a year or so of usage? That would be very helpful.
Would you like to send me the system details of it to compare with mine?
Also, do you know of battery drain over night on the Mate 7? And it gives no more of 4.20 hours in PC Mark battery test whereas my LG G3 gives 5.17 hours!
There's something wrong with my Mate and I would like everyone's help, please.
If you guys would like to help me and share your battery stats after some 10 months of usage, please do add me to WhatsApp: 0051 or +51 954993769
Thank you for your kind help.

You might had left data on, and system remain busy to update the apps as usual after reset
Guys can any one suggest when we will get Android update 5.1.1....its so late now where people have started thinking about Android 6 release..........
My friend send two mate 7 to his home country. This Mate 7 is so amazing that i also purchase one for my self after using my friends Mate 7 for couple of hours. I shifted from Samsung to Huawei now. Its as good as I phone 6 or other very expensive alternatives offer by Samsung. I will give 10 on 10 to this model.

Check how many apps ur device is allowing to run in back ground by default?
For me only 5-8% battery usually drops over a period of night in idle mode.
Well do 1 thing , go to setting > protected apps (do not allow even single app to run in back ground after the screen goes off)
Just try dat ....I hope the things would be better than the present situation.
