help me, 13 Nov 2010does this phone have wifi because im looking to by it Hey, nah it doesn't have wifi but mine's locked to virgin, which gives 1gb free internet anyway and I only use like 1/8th of that, so it's really good. It just wouldn't be as fast as wifi I don't think.
I brought the dual sim version of the phone.
for 99 Australian dollar unlocked at large store, this is a very straight forward no nonsense full QWERTY candy bar. My first phone of this kind.
user can pick which sim card to call by selecting the sim right before calling. Each sim can be set with different ring tones...
This is not a smart phone and does not run on 3G networks.
The interface is simple, call quality is good, but the small keys take time to get use to.
for the price, this phone is great value
i can not connect to e-mail in messaging. has any body else have this problem? other wise i'm very happy with this phone and of course the price:$59.00

Should I buy? I can only find locked to virgin, witch is no problem for me, as I am already with Virgin. The other phone I was considering is the Nokia 2700, but it is $10 more and this is better phone.
bj, 12 Nov 2010It's a surprisingly good phone - and 2g is not too slow if you are just after a facebook check... moreyeah huawei u1250 has the best music player way better than ipod or anything else (i thought I was the only one who noticed ) and i keep telling my friends that but they don't listen :)
Nimbuzz application is not working on my huawei g6600. when i select this app it shows testing connection message and doest run application
abba83, 10 Nov 2010I bought this phone yesterday and charged it till the next day which is today. It is unlocked ... morecheck if you haven't bought a phone that is locked to only one carrier, as mine is locked to virgin only!
i like this phone in every way,but for the love of god, i can not connect to e-mails through messaging with
pop3,smtp ect. it's driving me crazy. e-mails through
virgin lounge is no problem,i can receive but not send.why? I have asked dozens of virgin employees in
shops, technical support by phone and nobody has a
clue. and they all tell me a diferent story. all i
want is to use my phone to it's full potential. i'm
not asking for too much. also huawei released this
new phone with out accesories eg: case, screen protector. this phone was released about a year ago
this is a poor business move or lack of it. i'm
sure the chinese owners don't know about it or heads
would roll. all i want right now is for somebody
to tell me or help me with the setting to e-mails
through messaging &sending e-mail both ways.
ok,it's off my chest. i'm not angry just fustrated.
to whom it may concern. thank you.

I love this fone i only got it yesterday and its brilliant for wot i need it for
It's a surprisingly good phone - and 2g is not too slow if you are just after a facebook check or something like that.
the included opera mini-browser is much better than whatever the default is.
the 2.5mm jack is disappointing, but if you can stand to use a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter then you can save quite a few bucks.
one problem though - the music player is not nearly as good as the huawei u1250 was. selecting songs from the file browser does NOT play them in the proper audio player - files accessed this way will play, but no fast forward, rewind, and NO scroll through to next track (even when the one you're listening to is finished).
If you access the real music player (via the multimedia menu) it's quite an advanced player and looks very good - BUT the files are not organised into libraries OR folders, it's just one long list of every compatible file in the phone and sd card. This doesn't seem appropriate for something with a capacity for 16g sd cards.
The volume rockers on the side don't work when the keypad is locked, either.
