AnonD-621807, 19 Apr 2018I found online that oreo will be available for Honor 8 in May :)That would be great... But with the way things are going in the US for Huawei right now I wonder if it will still get updated in that region. Will Huawei abandon their US customers or will they stick with them?
Anyone has a low volume of calling after Security Update on March?
Hardly I could here my contact's voice 😑

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2018@Predrage93 Huawei have an appalling record when it comes to updating their phones so I doubt... moreAnonymous, I'm currently at the March 1st, 2018 security level. Might want to check for updates on your phone.

Honor 8 best in camera , games , and ram or not the golden colour is beautiful or not ???
So, after two years of faithful service I switched from Galaxy S6 to Honor 8. I was stoked because it looks really good and it seemed smooth and has a much better camera. It does look good, the camera is really good, but it is not smooth.
- The back-mounted button / fingerprint reader is pretty much useless. You have an option to customize what the button does but the options are very limited. The buttons placement is pretty stupid as well.
- The power and volume buttons are placed on the right side, which is annoying for me that holds the phone in my left hand and can't quite reach the buttons with a normal grip. I'm right handed and typing is a lot easier with my right.
- The touch isn't as responsive as the S6. Many times when you scroll and tap it doesn't stop right away. Mounted a tempered glass and the touch is even less responsive now.
It does have some good things though. Very nice battery management functions, and battery life. The S6 was horrible in this respect. The Honor 8 is faster and looks better. Much better camera, as stated. But I do miss the easy to use interface of the S6.
Anonymous, 06 Apr 2018How does v8 software relates to "advanced user" ? I'd call myself an advanced user and Honor 8... moreIf you can't see or not familiar with differences between v7 and v8 android software as advanced user than we have nothing to discuss here.

I'd call myself an advanced user and Honor 8 gives me much more power and memory then any Samsung in this price range would. From my pov v7 or v8 software version is of secondary importance
Honor 8 is good phone at his market value and seems like good choice but be aware that software is v7 and never gonna be v8 because of "processor is too low for new version". All in all, good phone but for advanced Android users that is big NO! This is my 3rd Huawei phone and last one because this is my 3rd that actually can be upgraded but Huawei doesnt want to do that. If there is anyone who believe them that this phone cant run Oreo, there are v8 for Honor8 that is custom made and works fine.
