It is amazing to see this device still holding up. It's build quality can still last to this day moving forward... got it for 38$ 6/128GB variant. No regrets. Huawei never left this phone for 8 years... Camera is better than budget to midrange phones of today's price range... No brand new, tho just 2nd hand unit.

Android 10 is not going to be supported for much longer at least in my region. Have to admit it is hard to find a phone this compact and thin with headphone jack, sd card slot... Sad

I've had this phone for nearly 8 years and gosh dang is it still going strong. My buttons do not work but using its accessibility settings, I can make it power on and off itself if I run out of battery (you should too)

The only issues I had with this guy is that the volume buttons love to break(I've replaced it twice over the constant usage). So try to use it sparringly if yours still works. I've worked around this by using apps that controls volume. Fingerprint screen still works for me too. The camera is really bad though but I remember the original OS had such cripsy and amazing quality. It's a shame but I don't really photograph things so I don't mind it. The battery has failed me twice too but for some reason right now, it's still alive. I fear the day I will have to eventually replace this phone. No idea how many times I've dropped this phone with and without the cover but ITS STILL WORKING. The screen is really tough I still haven't broken it!! It can still play recent games fairly too. What a beast. 10/10 I want more and I hope Huawei is proud of this phone.
Fun fact: my phone cover CRUMBLED before this phone kronked out. This phone is literally built different and I wish more of its kind existed.

I would like to ask if anyone knows of any recent-ish phones that are similair to this gem of a phone. It would be greatly appreicated (I just want the 16:9 ratio screens + andriod. Google and Samsung is a no go) I will occasionally come back here to check because I use this website's phone finder a lot.

I am very positively surprised that this phone is still going strong after that many years. Along the way I somehow managed to broke glass on fingerprint reader, besides that caught only few minor scratches. It still manages to pull one day of normal usage on single charge. With EMUI 12 they fixed battery usage (comparing to 10). Everything works really snappy. I don't know why, but unfortunately camera quality is worse, imo on original release OS it was the best.
Full USB C 3.0 - thing that even to this day isn't obvious in not so cheap phones. I can 'dock' this phone and use in desktop mode with mouse and keyboard - maybe not that often but it is pretty useful feature for me. May come in handy if you want to show something on bigger screen just some mundane USB C - HDMI adapter will do, no proprietary dock needed.
Apart from that I generally hate newer versions of Android OS, this is one of best phones I had.

Also works with USB C to USB C. No additional power needed to project using that type of cable.

So satisfied to my Huawei Mate 10. Still performing for about 7 years and it looks like brand new. Though, ear speaker has been broken recently but overall one of the best phone I ever had.
