Hello,
I loved this phone. It looks super, but sadly there is no Google play store. Please advice me what do I do? Worth it to buy it or not? If yes, how can I install Apps from Google store?

If you can't live without GMS that's a you problem.I see your point of view, but the application selection on the Huawei app gallery is heavily restricted, as most developers have not made versions of their app for the gallery, or they are not allowed to affiliate with Huawei because it is on the US entity list. Hopefully it gets removed from the list as they are a good company and will significantly increase the US tax profits from companies such as Google, because Huawei will pay to get Google features. The situation is still a bit unclarified, and many people in the tech enthusiast community wants Huawei to be back in the game. I came from a Huawei smartphone a couple of months ago, and it is sad that Huawei may go national and only sell in China, or may go into administration and close down. Huawei smartphones are not bad, they are just discriminated from the country which the company is based in.

Where can i find review of this phone. When i search in youtube mate 40 it only shows the pro version.

This is a very nice device* and I would normally recommend it to anyone. There is a very good display and a snappy chipset for movies and gaming.
*I do not recommend this device because there are no Google services ( no Play store or Chrome)

You can buy cheaper budget phones from Huawei, but I recommend a different brand because Huawei does not have Google services such as the Google Play Store or Chrome.

Anonymous, 21 Nov 2020I thought it retains IP68 ratingOnly the pro versions do I'm afraid. Just like all the other vanilla Mate variants, the 40 only gets IP53.

I always like to follow phones sales..... But since when have been following it before 200-500 users reviews you must see 1or more bad review... But This phone have over 1300 users reviews on Huawei store on JD.com with no single bad review.... Its great phone indeed

And I just want a phone that is an inch bigger than the "norm".

Why is there no Mate 40x... some love for us big phone fans please. >7" phones are almost impossible to come by these days. Mate 20x was the last decent one to my knowledge.

What a waste of super phone, without google services this serves me nothing.... No uber apps, no maps.... If this had google services, this would be the world's best phone no doubt!
