Mike, 23 Jun 2021Wait for the p50 proI found out that P50 Pro, doesn't have 5G. I know that 5G, is not for everyone else these days yet. Only big cities have it. Since I am from Indonesia and I live in a small town, I believe I won't have 5G for quite sometime, but my question, should I keep buy the P50 Pro, or buy the 2020 Huawei phone, like Mate 40 pro. Any suggestion?

captain fokou, 23 Aug 2021it doesn't work like that. is a litle more complicated This is the only reason I didn't buy it otherwise this was the perfect phone in fact better than the S20/S21 series from Samsung. It's really sad that it doesn't have playstore. I'm using the P30 Pro & wanted to get this as i really wanted to try my hands on the Mate.

This is un officially a mobile gaming phone from huawei :
Dual stereo bass speaker that can head to head with rog 3, this speaker does not using any specific module so the optimization came from the hardware itself
Big screen + curve = big screen as note series and you can use the curve as shoulder button
240 touch sampling rate = as is this huawei system it will responsive and compared to 300hz you wont feel any different
Colour system management = only 1 article in google, basically mate 40 pro have self colour management system that adapt colour in apps to optimized it also it does not use srgb gamma so better color range
Kirin 9000 : best soc currently on processor it only lose 10% to 888 in sythentic benchmark ,but it have beter efficiency and thermal output so we can say this is on par in real world case. The monster gpu also can head to head with 888 with better temp across the board compared to 888 , check benchmark on youtube especially genshin.

For apps with problem of notification you can install microg and disable power genie
For apps that require google services you can install them first then clone to gspace and it will work
For banking apps no choice other than web based /browser

Just sold my mate 40 pro, after one week of use. It has amazing performance and top camera setup. Only lack of Google services made me sell it. Petal/huawei app store is not so bad as expected, more and more apps are there, but most of them are trying connect with Google play :)))
Tried to get use to with gspace, use opera browser, but still it not the same like with built in GSM services.
Had issue with some banking apps, sometime it worked some time not...NFC did not worked.
..and not receiving notifications got me sell it only for 700euros.
Just today got myself a galaxy s21ultra. Amazing phone. It's so satisfaction to use Google services :)
Camera also top notch.
Still missing old days with bricket size mate20x :)

I am so sad hearing HUAWEI won't release MATE 50 PRO due to short of chipset. I've broken my MATE 30 Pro and I hope to buy the new MATE 50 PRO. since it won't release, should I buy MATE 40 PRO? Or P50 PRO when it will launch soon? Or should I consider Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra?
Any suggestions?
