Richard, 24 Mar 2016Hello everybody, been keeping a close eye on everyone's reviews on this device.... And I am ve... moreI believe the difference in performance/functionality will be minimal. However I hear that the P9 will not the have the 4000 mA battery it will probably have 3000 mA. So if you want a long lasting battery you will be better off with the Mate-8

I see many comments saying that the camera its very worse, the focusing its not very accurate. If anyone has the phone, please tell the experience with the focus on the camera, as the same with the multitasking work compared to a multitasking galaxy phone.

Hello everybody, been keeping a close eye on everyone's reviews on this device.... And I am very close to buying one however this will be my first Huawei purchase and I was just wondering if it would be worth waiting until April 6th to see what the p9 max has to offer (I'm after a larger screen android phone wth reliable battery, as I work away a lot and plan on using kodi quite a lot to watch movies and to, plus all the usual stuff like browsing an social media) whats the difference between the "mate" series and the "P" series? Any ideas or thoughts would be great thanks

Anonymous, 19 Mar 2016I m thinking either LG V10 or mate 8,but after reading your post,i really quite worry of mate ... moreI just love using my Mate 8. Go for it. It is a very good phone. Reliable, fast never heats up, crystal clear display. People have their own views and standards. I want speed, reliability, long lasting battery and crystal clear display. The mate 8 gives all these and thus far hasn't failed me. I read comments here that people return the phones after they bought them and I don't understand why. I am very happy with mine and I am glad I bought it. (I have the NXT-L29 with 4Gb RAM and 64 Gb storage). I forgot to mention that both SIM card slots can be used for 4G/3G. The swap is done with the touch of a button. So I can take good advantage of my two data plans without having to actually remove the SIM cards to swap the slots. I don't think another phone can do this at the moment.

I have this phone for three weeks now and I love using it. It is very fast with a good and clear 6 inch screen. My battery last for ever. The 4G network speed here in Hong Kong is phenomenal. I have measured downlink speeds sometimes in excess of 70 Mbit/s on 4G. I am not a professional photographer but I like the quality of the photos and videos I take. I can trade my stocks very fast using my phone. It does very well what I need and more. I just love using it. I wonder how the Mate 9 will be next year. If you need a fast phone, relatable with a solid battery at a sensible price then the Huawei Mate 8 is for you unless you are a brand sucker.

i bought the phone one week back, but phone's battery is draining out very quickly, and interestingly Android OS is consuming the most around 60% of power. (last 1.8 hrs.- 380mAh consumed)
any one facing this problem?

HM8, 23 Mar 2016Can anyone confirm if the external MicroSD can be infused as Internal Memory through the lates... moreHi,

See my previous comment. I couldn't get it to recognized the SD card as "internal storage". Atlhough the card works fine, it only is recognized as "portable".

Maybe it requires some sort of Firmware update from Huawei ???
