AnonD-496590, 03 Mar 2016When i charged my Mate 8 last time until 98%, i saw in the battery window preview that it was ... moreThe phone specs that are given in websites are most of the time given using very minimal phone lighting, very minimal app usage, etc. Depending on how many apps you have, how much RAM those apps use even when they are not open, how high you have your brightness setting, how much the phone is actually active during the day, etc, your phone usage will definitely differ from what you "should" get
Geranomics, 04 Mar 2016Have for the last few weeks , been contemplating the choice of Huawei mate 8 vs Samsung Galaxy... moresometimes you need to ask yourself, do you really need 4k? your tv and monitor are running 4k?
Dears have a good day kindly when I go to phone manager - Battery manager and select consumption level I found the android system is 79% and when clear the cash memory the free space of ram is 992 MB is that normal ?
Have for the last few weeks , been contemplating the choice of Huawei mate 8 vs Samsung Galaxy note 5
Conflicted between a far better spec sheet of Huawei mate 8, I.e. screen size , battery power, processor, etc the down side doesn't run 4k video, and knuckle functions..pretty nifty.
The Samsung galaxy note 5 however offers the 4 k video experience and better resolution as a trade off to the specs..and not to mention the key word 'reliability'
My primary concern is ensuring a good build quality of any phione I purchase, based recent concerns of the 'auto focus' on the front camera of the Huawei..this may however just be a 'one off glitch'for the specific device
A phone is certainly not just a 'sum of its parts / specs'..
Have to admit I'm leaning towards the Huawei mate 8..
I guess for now waiting more more convincing reviews..
PS have used the Huawei G750 and have had no issues..in terms of quality and performance.
The battery of this phone is a monster. It lasted for a day and half without recharging. You can specify which apps can access the net. It is a very large phone and it's performance is great so far.
When i charged my Mate 8 last time until 98%, i saw in the battery window preview that it was going to last only 30 h or so, when it should go up to 40 h or more, is there a battery problem ? ......URGENT
When I charged my Mate 8 last time, until 95% the battery preview window only showed 30 h of use, it should get to 40 h, or more , is it a battery problem?

Mostafa Oraby, 20 Feb 2016Battery life of the mate 8 is amazing really, much better than note 5 And screen size of 6"... moreDoes mate 8 have a dedicated sd card slot? abo khairy, 29 Feb 2016hi my friend... i want to buy it but does it recieving all notifications normally of all apps ... moreHi Mate, I haven't come across any issues with Mate 8 other than a bug in camera (Its hardware related and Huawei replaced the camera assembly and now it works great). The notification issue is the consequence of the power saving settings, i believe. Please find this article which i found useful. http://www.androidheadlines.com/2016/01/how-to-fix-missing-notifications-on-huawei-phones.html . Honestly, i don't want all those notifications screaming out from my phone which i find annoying. But according to the above article there is a way to allow them. Anyways, I would recommend you to confidently proceed with the purchase for that sheer power packed performance, that amazing build quality inside and outside and that gorgeous scree, an excellent camera & not the least the BEAST BATTERY. You wont be disappointed. ( Keeps yourself boosted by running benchmark tests and see your Mate 8 beats other phones Lol) Cheers Rahul
