i have been using the Mate 8 for one week and its an AWESOME phone,
only downside which is really annoying is that the vibration intensity of notifications is very low to the point that if i set the phone on vibration only mode, i miss a lot of notifications (i guess that should be fixed in a future software update )
other than that i'm really loving the screen to body ratio and the 6" seems perfect (coming from note5)

Qashi, 16 Feb 2016Can someone tell me that which colour will look more premium in handsI'm using mocha gold colour. In my point of view it is the most beautiful and premium colour among all. Golden colour is very common now a days in almost all brands. So it no more looks cool and different in your hands. One of my friend has bought golden colour. But my mocha brown looks more stylish when we compare . Now the choice is yours.
Does anyone know if Mate 8 will come to USA? I know I can get it easily on amazon but worry about the guarantee after buying it in case of when it is broken.
Looks like I finally managed to solve the lack 4K recording capability on this phone.
I installed Open Camera app from play store and under Open Camera app settings enabled Force 4K option.
Now I am able to record 4K videos using my Huawei Mate 8 using the Open Camera app.
Now this phone feels even better than before, as I told before the hardware was clearly capable of recording 4K videos, the phones major shortcoming was it's improperly implemented camera app, Open Camera solved that shortcoming.
7, 13 Feb 2016Then you should trade-in your Huawei and change to SAMSUNG! Guarantee do not have such stupid ... moreHaha, whatever, my Samsung S4 has the exact same problem and it's on the latest possible build of Android available to the S4 (which is v5.0.1) and Whatsapp v2.12.449. Sometimes I will get a notification immediately and other times I open my Whatsapp every few hours or so and see that someone sent me a message like 3 hours ago and I only receive it now when I launch Whatsapp. What is going on? By the way, I don't run any sort of process killer on my phone, only Greenify, which is configured not to hibernate Whatsapp. Anyone has a solution to this problem?

vick, 15 Feb 2016Does it have LED notification light on top??Yes, it does. But with the window case it is invisible when closed.... No opening made for the LED.... Unlike e. g. LG G4...
Oh come on..They wasted such powerful hardware due to improper UI and camera optimisation, hey developers are you guys listening, is there someone out there who can build a camera software to enable 4K recording on this phone, because it's hardware is clearly capable to do so, this phone is just ruined due to its badly optimised software.
Those iPhone users now got a new app called Procam 3 which enables 4K recording capability on 5s and 6, why can't we Android users have something equivalent for our phones.
