The battery of this phone is a monster. It lasted for a day and half without recharging. You can specify which apps can access the net. It is a very large phone and it's performance is great so far.

When i charged my Mate 8 last time until 98%, i saw in the battery window preview that it was going to last only 30 h or so, when it should go up to 40 h or more, is there a battery problem ? ......URGENT

It doesn't have dlna and this made me so disappointed the problem here that they said it has dlna but I couldn't find any

The notification issue is the consequence of the power saving settings, i believe. Honestly, i don't want all those notifications screaming out from my phone which i find annoying. But according to the above article there is a way to allow them. Anyways, I would recommend you to confidently proceed with the purchase for that sheer power packed performance, that amazing build quality inside and outside and that gorgeous scree, an excellent camera & not the least the BEAST BATTERY. You wont be disappointed. ( Keeps yourself boosted by running benchmark tests and see your Mate 8 beats other phones Lol) Cheers Rahul

The battery life test was done on the latest firmware udate, or on the stock firmware ? Because with the latest formare the battery life is increasing a lot.

I have been using Mate 8 64 GB since 1 month and very much ha... morehi my friend... i want to buy it but does it recieving all notifications normally of all apps when screen is off & no apps running in background? or i have to open the application to recieve the notifications & keep it running in the background by locking it as usual i do till now in my mate 7 many apps like whatss app outlook app and many other apps not receiving notification when screen is off i have to open it.there is also a break google notification i tried every thing but nothing useful even the customer services doesnt make any thing i think the problem is in the bad android skin(emotion ui) please answer thanks

I bought this phone last week and its my first huawei..i had iphones,samsungs,blackberry etc.. So far by far the best battery, very good cam, beautiful phone and very fast, im very happy with it, i read a lot of complains about the autofocus of the camera..hope it wont happen to me , and the front camera is great for selfies
