Anonymous, 27 Mar 2013I upgraded mediapad and the upgrade completed but after reboot it gives an error message "... more1- remove sim card

Been using this tablet for a month. Upgraded to the latest firmware provided by huawei. I have so much problem with its battery life, it can only last for 2.5hrs. I just hope a new upgrade will be released soon to address the battery life. 4Hrs would have been enough for a tablet. Sigh!

Anonymous, 28 Mar 2013how is the battery backup guyss...???After Updating it in to latest SP18.....it gives gr8 battery backup up to 4 hours continuous usage....& if ur not using it(only for calls & msgs) then it may also give 3 days battery backup.....

1. Can I use the same SD card with those files in it or shall I deleted the Dload folder and 2 created files i.e. "adapt_partition_log" and "sdcard_log".
2. Do I need to format SD card again before using it.
3. Can I save my APPS games on SD card now.

REGARDING THE NEW UPDATE FOR MEDIAPAD 7 LITE -
I UPGRADED MY MEDIPAD WITH THE LATEST FIRMWARE FROM THE HUAWEI OFFICIAL SITE. IT WAS FINE AND SIMPLE. MAJOR IMPROVEMENT ON BATTERY DRAIN AND WITH FRONT CAMERA ISSUES. THE FRONT CAMERA SHOWS 50% MORE PERFORMANCE. SO NOW IT IS POSSIBLE TO USE FOR VIDEO CHAT AND SKYPE.

HOW TO UPGRADE :
1. Go to the above link.
2. Download the archived file to a computer.
3. Format one 4 GB SD Card in FAT32 system.
4. Copy the "dload" folder to the root of the SD Card.
5. Backup all your Apps, Datas(contacts, messages, pics, videos etc) to another SD Card. (Never backup to the same SD Card with the "dload" folder.
6. Power off your tablet and insert the SD Card having "dload" foler and switch on as normal.
7. The tablet may restart for two times and will show the animated Andoroid green emblem on the screen.
8. Be patient for some minutes. Never touch, power off or press the power switch before asked to do the same.
9. After 3-4 minutes the tablet will show a bing "OK" in green colour in the screen. Then pull out the SD Card and power off the tablet with pressing the power button for a while.
10. Turn on the tablet as usual. (Never forget to remove the SD Card from the tablet before turn ON.)
Now your table is upgraded and ready to use. You can conform the upgradation by checking the firmware build number on the "About Tablet" tab in the settings menu. If the last digits for the build number ends with SP018 or SP18, you can conform your tablet upgraded. Follow steps as usual for using tablet.

I am also would like to update. But, I am in fear to update because of my less experience. If the update is not success (due to some errors on downloaded zip file from huawei or of some any unknown causes)is it possible to roll back to the original firmware what I had before? For that how I can backup my present firmware before updating?
