I have been using my 5T for more than 8 months now and never had a performance problem. Loving the butter smooth performance. Cannot understand why people complain about such a good device.

I don't know what people do to their Nova 5T to have really bad performance. I'm on the latest version of Android (Android 10) and EMUI (EMUI 10.1.0.250) and I can run Call of Duty: Mobile on Max FPS and High graphics. Locked 60fps. No more, no less (they cap fps at 60 for every phone). Can even run Minecraft with 16c Render, 8c Simulation distance, with a shader, and on Power Saving mode. Locked 50fps on a quite big world. 30fps on Hive skywars with squads (4 people each team). Runs Real Racing 3 with no problems (the iPhone 4s can run it lol). Asphalt 9 isn't a problem too. Maxed out everything I can and still very smooth. Mind you, I have a hard case which makes my thermals worse and I'm on Power Saving Mode for all the games. Mobile Legends runs really good. Locked 60fps on Ultra and HFR. I even play YouTube videos on 1080p non stop and it's still not a problem. HDR content isn't an issue but this phone doesn't have an HDR display so why bother doing that? Cameras are really good. I'll put this out here now, Huawei f'ed up my Ultrawide via software updates. Any other Camera apps can use the ultrawide and it looks mighty crisp. 4K video is really good, the Kirin 980 inside rips through. The battery is fine for most users. A bigger one would've been great especially for power users (me).

felix, 30 Aug 2020i have a question, what's the diference among YAL-L21, YAL-L61, YAL-L71, YAL-L61D?It's based on Region. I think the US is the only one who gets the 6GB RAM variant of the phone.

Wired, 03 Sep 2020Its already on my model however my friend has the same model and he is stuck on emui 9.1I also have the YAL-L21 model number and I'm on the latest stable release (EMUI 10.1.0.250). Try changing your region to either UK, China, or Philippines.

freezing while watching live videos on facebook and youtube. Loading icon while watching videos on gallery, screen scrolling bugs while playing games. I regret buying this phone

Anonymous, 27 Aug 2020Yeah I got the chrome freeze sometimes too but I think it's because how badly optimized C... moreyeah, wouldn't argue that chrome is really unoptimized. like i said, it does occasionally freeze on my friend's realme 6 only less often
that said, i really disappointed that kirin 980 which supposed to be flagship chipset perform worse that mediatek g90t

Notice that the phone itself isn't freezing or lagging,just chrome.

Never ever buy huawei, they just cover 7days replacement b... moresame here, never have a blank screen but it freeze a lot, especially on chrome. need to back to home screen and open it again to unfroze it.
i've tried using my friend's realme 6 for like an hour and it froze much less often
sometimes even when playing mobile legend it's even warn me that the game doesn't run on 30 fps and recommend me to turn off the HFR mode
sure it have 400k antutu points but who cares about benchmark if it can't represent real-life usage
