Huawei nova 5T - user opinions and reviews

Hey guys, can anyone advise me on what phone to go for and what criteria to judge them buy? I'm generally focused on low budget by a strong phone. I'm considering between a Huawei P30 Lite (as it fits my budget) and the Huawei Nova 5T (as I see that in terms of RAM it's better than the P30)? If you guys have alternate phone choices aside from the Huawei line but around the same budget, I'm curious to hear them. Thanks y'all!!

Maybe you should buy neither and certainly not an amoled... Worst phones for flickering.

Rather mediocre phone. The display often has screen retention or burn ins VERY often. Dissatisfied.

I will probably play a couple of games on it but nothing hardcore. I also love the disllay and one UI. And i can get it for around 350 dollars. Thanks for the advice tho.

smaller phone make it easier to use especially if you are upgrading from old phone (which tend to be even smaller), glass back with smaller camera module is simply prettier, and i really love the side fingerprint scanner

yeah, most of the problem disappeared when i'm turning on the performance mode but lagging on small indie games really doesn't live up to it's 260k antutu score and i don't want to turn on the performance mode all day since the battery barely enough for me to last a day (aside from its getting warm faster)

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2020So what would you recommend should i go for samsung a71 or nova 5tif you're playing games, especially the popular ones and think you would ever use all those power in K980 then 5t because it DOES have a powerful chipset. the problem is it feels unoptimized that it would occasionally stutter even when there's no heavy load
if you are just casual user, i believe SD730 is enough for anything you throw at it, with bettter performance at low load, bigger battery, faster charge, and better display (although the display in 5T is also good)
also, some of EMUI features feels like a half baked gimmick, like how you can't use pop up window except for WA and FB, and you can't see your yesterday screen time on digital wellbeing. at least OneUI have better implementation for those two

nova 5t user, 19 Apr 2020Same issue screen image retention. I have the same problem here. No matter what app I'm using, after around 10-15mins screen would have a tint like image of the app I was using.

Very good performances for a mid-range phone. Battery last all day + 22.5 fast charging (50% full charge within 30 mins). Big memory size. Camera is also very good.

under 10 fps CONSTANTLY even though it's supposed to be a small games ( the game sized is about 200 mb). i play it again this morning and looks like the problem is mostly solved, the game still doesn't feel "smooth" but at least it's not really noticable. that said i also had this problem at several game as well and some of them probably haven't fixed yet (if ever).
if you only play popular game like PUBG or Mobile Legend i don't think there'll be any problem
additionally, even you're just browsing chrome will often stutter or even force closed here.
summary: kirin sucks
