Huawei P30 - user opinions and reviews

Hello everyone. Can you tell me if this phone is still worth buying? I have to get a new phone (currently using Sony xperia xa, but its battery is slowing down recently) and P30 seems decent, I like that it's pretty compact comparing to the others, and this would be my first flagship and Huawei so I'd appreciate if you tell me the truth. What are the pros and cons? Can I expect it to last at least three years? I don't really care about updates, just want a nice compact phone, with good camera that's going to last. Thanks in advance

Frankly, the P30/P30 Pro hardware is amazing. The EMUI software is terrible. 10.1 update made my camera glitchy and constantly freezes when I really need it. Waste of a great camera phone. No more Huawei for me

Id recommend buying it. But there is something cheaper like honor 20 that as the same procesor. Or buy something else in the simmilar price point!

Marko2527, 10 Aug 2020Huawei P30 vs Xiaomi Mi 9? What to choose and way?Get the Xiaomi Mi 9 if you want great performance or just great value of a phone at cheap price. I think the Huawei P30 has a better camera, is not as tall, looks better, has a better fingerprint sensor. Battery life is very similar along the two.

Anonymous, 23 Jul 2020this phone or nova 5t? Honor 20, Honor View 20 and Nova 5T = same phone. Minor differences, like fingerprint is on side on Honor 20 and Nova 5T, but on back on View 20. And small battery increase on View 20 to 4000mah up from 3750mah. But exactly same CPU and camera exactly same on Honor 20 and Nova 5T. Same screen size. The P30 has Kirin 980 same as these phones. Very minor difference again. P30 has smaller battery 3650mah, slightly smaller screen, so lighter a little bit. Better camera optics. Curved glass back. Thats it. They are basically all the same phone. So choose based on how you like the look and the price. I like the Honor 20 and Nova 5T cos the side fingerprint on the power button is nice and crazy fast. Got bored of rear fingerprint since owning a LG G6. And in screen fingerprint sensors are slower as a note.
