Anonymous, 13 Jun 2019I have personally tested P30 Pro on a mall, it doesn't zoom clearly at max.Of course, max zoom of P30 Pro is 50x, which is totally digitalized. Eitherway it provides 50x when others dont.
Best zoom is at 5x (optical) & 10x (hybrid).
Other than Oppo Reno, no other phones provides Periscope camera as P30 Pro does, which means still has the best camera zoom on the market.

Tell u what, try take a picture of a light bulb in brighter area with tap to focus on the background instead of the light bulb, it will resulting in brighter condition, but the lightbulb will be overblown. Then tap to focus on the light bulb, all background will be darker but the light bulb will less overblown. Go nearer to the light bulb and focus to it once again, u can see filamens on the light bulb and background will be even darker.
Thats how P30 Pro took the moon pictures, but with more aggresive lower exposure + shutter speed adjustment just to reduce the overbright highlights of the moon, so every other place will become totally dark/black.

Theres a various video that shows the Moon Mode is the real deal. I even play around with the P30 Pro, the AI does the clever tactics called 'exposure' & 'shutter speed'. You can even adjust it manually using Pro Mode for the same results.

Its all basic in photography, exposure levels & shutter speed. P30 Pro can take the same moon pictures manually using Pro Mode without AI Moon Mode.
Sadly most of the youtubers believes that claim without experiencing & experimenting themselves using P30 Pro.
