The problem with this phone and the standard P40 lite is the embarrassing display touch sampling rate.
I tested it, and I'm getting around 75hz!?
It explains why typing on the screen, and playing games (response time), just feels overall sluggish.
The majority of competitors had upgraded to a minimum of 120hz
touch sampling rates, even in their budget handsets, especially oppo and xiaomi.. Which does improve the overall experience.

The front camera frustrates me it is sooo blurry and weather you have the Beaty on or off it makes no difference 😭😭, I want to cry especially if your backroound is white the front camera is the worst 😩

I was thinking of dumping Google anyway. I had tryed disabling Google apps on my Huawei Mate 10 Pro and found there was a replacement.
Google maps is working fine, but I use Tomtom Amigo. Sterling Bank have a app on Huawei store. Outlook works fine for Gmail and Hotmail! (yes I know its a old account from when I was a kid!). NewPipe works for YouTube. Brave browser works grate as a browser, or Microsoft Edge. Deezer for music is on Huawei app store. Generally all the old apps work fine if not on app store get them from APK Pure. As well alot of apps are identical to the website, like Rightmove or GymPass.

The Huawie P40 lite 5g is the best mobile phone i have seen. The only cons is that there is no google play or what ever google apps. The screen is big and the price is good for a 5g phone. I rate it 4.8 out of 5. Remaining 0.2 is because there is no google apps. But overall it is a good phone with good battery life.

love the phone but sadly wish there was a uk alternative to google pay i could use. also i use gmail which doesn't work properly (images issues) battery and speed are great. it looks beautiful ( in my eyes at least ) but without google services it is incomplete. many apps just don't work as they should which is a real shame so at the moment it stays at home while i rely on my redmi 9 whilst out and about. fix the nfc payment issue & i would be over the moon.

Phone is easy to use nice size screen battery life is sound got 2 days use before had to charge again only weird thing is there's no playstore so some apps you can't get it uses bing as browser it's fine.last Huawei phone I had was p20 Pro which was allowed to use playstore but its not the end of the world so I am happy

have it for a week and its awesome, 5g works great battery is awesome when fully charged can last 2 days on normal use. For now im running /wo google but i will be sideloading it later on. Still stuck on emui 10.1.1
antutu v9.0.1 score is 407.5k (varies in 407k)
