Wanna know any i... moreThe 5G version is more expensive, has a more premium build, slightly better camera, slightly faster processor and 5G capability. The P40 Lite has a magnificent battery life, plastic back and is lighter to handle. Both share the same super fast charging. The screen on the P40 Lite 5G is marginally larger, the quality is excellent and comparable on both phones.
I would still prefer the P40 Lite or P40 Lite 5G over the P30 Lite anytime. I haven't tried the P30 Lite 2020 edition but it should be comparable to the 2019 edition.
If you're on budget go for the P40 Lite.
The lack of GMS has its advantages especially its heavy toll on the battery. Apps are location dependent in the App Gallery. It is much richer in Asia and the MENA region compared to Europe. In any case you won't find issues with social media apps.

Wanna know any i... moreMost social media apps can be replaced by replaced by browser link if its not in the App Gallery, if you most have the app its possible to try and install it from a 3rd part, now the issue is certain banking apps & games might need google services to work and stuff like Netlix and Spotify will not work at all I heard some say... :<

I have this phone as well as the standard P40 Lite.
I prefer the standard version as the screen is so much nicer.
This 5g version - the contrast on the display is appalling. It's so devoid and dull and such a letdown.
However.. the processor is awesome as is the video recording and camera etc.
But - the screen of the standard P40 lite, in my opinion, is way way nicer and more accurate.

Infant I wanted to go for the phone. But no Google play; Discouraged me. I can't use a phone without Google play.

It's a pretty decent device. But no GMS is a big nope for me. Even if you manually install them there is no way the device can pass Safetynet checks and therefore take full advantage of the GMS.
