a lot of the phones has same CPU and camera, but Huawei still takes best pictures;
the thing about privacy is related to shutter sound too, and many more than that

mmm, 18 May 2020It's price so high that general can't afford it plus high zoom is bad for privacy policyPrice is reasnoable for the spec that phone has + best camera on the market. I dont see the reason why would high zoom have problem with privacy.

Will... morethere is that ad where video is shot at 8K resolution and they enlarge the video, that is bcoz the screen of the S20 Ultra is not even 4K, which means the video is downsized when you play it back , if the screen would be 8K you could not enlarge the video, also 8K is useless if you don't have a 8K screen.

How much can this phone zoom optically while shooting at 4Kp60 and 4Kp30 respectively?
Will the 8MP sensor make it worse than Samsung's S20 Ultra's 48MP sensor when it comes to optical zoom?
I am very much into video + zoom so when I tried the S20 Ultra (which seemed impressing with 8K), there were some limitations for zooming video mode. Even when zoom is possible, I'm not sure if it's using the telephoto lens or not. Correct me if I'm wrong because I didn't buy the phone.
Most of the time, optical zoom only applies to photos while videos will suffer some limitations which we will not know until we use the phone, sadly.

that AnTuTu score i was talking about is from April , besides A13 should be a hint since its quite new;

Ricky, 18 May 2020Why would high zoom be bad for security reasons?Because with that 10x optical zoom you can spy on anyone from your apartment.
I saw some video on facebook did a zoom from his apartment to spy on bikini lady on the pool nextdoor with P30 pro. With this new 10x, I leave it the rest to your imagination lol

My main concern (and why I am getting the regular P40 Pro for now while there is still the special offer) is that the 3x camera won't be much better than the main camera. The main camera has a big sensor and high resolution (albeit quad Bayer) compared to the 3x, which basically only has 3x going for it.
As a rough estimate for detail resolution, multiply magnification with the square root of sensor resolution in MP:
Main camera: 1*sqrt(50)=7.07
Pro+ 3x: 3*sqrt(8)=8.49 (1.2 times)
Pro 5x: 5*sqrt(12)=17.32 (2.45 times)
Pro+ 10x: 10*sqrt(8)=28.28 (4 times)
The 10x camera will likely be extremely good and blow everything out the water, but until you actually get to make use of it (if you shoot in RAW, the 10x camera will not get activated unless you pick 10x, which often might be too much magnification and not fit the whole scene; if you don't shoot in RAW you lose lots of detail to noise suppression and get unnatural sharpness), you will be stuck with the 3x. I would have loved to see a higher resolution sensor on the 3x camera.

Every "Pro" in the series had better optics and lenses so far. They upgrade the camera on Pro series like they always do.

Check the scores of the iPhone 11according to antutu , Snapdragon 865 has similar score to what A13 performs, but Exynos 990 has the highest score of all , and that for almost half of the price Apple sells their iphone 11 pro,
A13 is already outdated :))
