P40 is as cheap as 700Eur with same CPU as P40 pro and same main camera
....i do sports, and twice a week jogging, i obviously sweat, the phone will not have contact with water but sweat/steam, + what about rainy days? can't even take it out or the water will kill it = Xiaomi;
that is why Huawei will be still better regardless

if you are a xiaomi fan then you don't have to talk nonsense how huawei kirin 990 is worse and they won't sell a single phone it's a children's story and this is not a 500eur phone and you are not a competent person to criticize such a strong brand, but you can read and learn from an existing like EPHOTOZINE, Tech Radar, Dxomark, notebookchek, digital trends, etc .

Xiaomi has snapdragon 865 who is better ? And why do you need 12gb ram ? Seriosly ? is 2020 ?Samsung has 16gb . 8gb ram is good for now , for a 500 euro phone . But when you pay that much ,you have other options . Is like you buy 16bb ram on a desktop , is ok for now ,but not future proof , 32gb ram is for high end in computers , 12 for smartphones. True there a still people who has 8gb ram on desktop but they can only use media center with that .

Huawei has worse processor (865 Vs Kirin 990) and worse software (miui is better than emui). For me, Huawei is only better on cameras. I hope they fix this problem with Google because otherwise they won't sell a single phone

I have had this phone for less than a week.
My honest opinion. I was worried about not having Google play and losing my best apps, but that has not been the case.
If you are huawei fan and have had p20 and p30 pros, than please buy this as your next phone... You will not be disappointed.
It's class on its own in terms of camera and operating system. And classy sublime look. Samsung s20 ultra and oppo find pro, Google, iPhone still behind this phone in camera quality.
If you have owned a huawei phone you will know. Please be rest assured I have heard all the other brands.
Huawei App Gallery is on the rise. New apps will follow suit. Huawei has invested a lot of money for developers to jump on board. I have got this phone on a snip in upgrade deal compared to Samsung s20 and others, mainly because it goes not gave Google apps.
Please buy and don't read the negative comments. You cannot comment bad if you have never owned a huawei phone....
Everyone had there own opinion.... And taste and choice..

We are used to seeing the top score in the DXOMARK Camera ranking creep ... morethe top spot never left the Huwei house, the last one was Mate 30 pro, of course at 108MP the Mi note10 did take better pictures, but not videos and at night Mate 30 pro could not be beaten;
and before that P30pro, i mean Apple gained on pic quality, especially the videos, but it never had a chance

DXOMARK Conclusion,
We are used to seeing the top score in the DXOMARK Camera ranking creep up in one-point increments, with each new champion offering only marginal improvements over the previous number one. Things are different this time, though. The Huawei P40 Pro takes the top spot with a big bang, putting a four-point difference between itself and the previous joint leaders, the Oppo Find X2 Pro and the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro.
The P40 Pro achieves an outstanding DXOMARK Camera score of 128 because it is either the best or one of the very best devices we have tested to date across nearly all categories. It is particularly impressive for Zoom, with shots across the zoom range showing better detail and lower noise than than the competition. The main camera comes with the best-performing autofocus system we have seen and offers the best texture/noise balance to date.
The P40 Pro’s image results when shooting at night and in very low light are also better than for any other device we have tested, and its portrait mode’s bokeh simulation is among the very best we have seen. In addition, the image quality of the ultra-wide camera is class-leading, with the P40 Pro’s Wide score only slightly subdued by the camera’s comparatively narrow angle of view. Oh, and it’s also the best device for recording video.
In sum, the Huawei P40 Pro’s camera blows the competition out of the water. If you want the best camera in a smartphone, there is currently no better alternative.

The new AppGallery system is not bad at all. Since u can transfer apps via phone clone u dont need to download the apps all over again.I mean they are probably working on bringing the rest of the apps to the AppGallery.

2. Sweet spot is 4K, which both selfie camera and main can do 4K 60.

it even says on the box 'This device is restricted to indoor use only...'
when charging it gets way too warm, as opposed to Huawei = stone cold
battery on standby+ battery saver on, Xiaomi = max 4~6days
Huawei 10~15 days without any power saving, and i did not get any chance to use power saving bcoz that damm thing lasts over 1week on one charge
plz tell me what good do the 12GB RAM if the phone is crap? i bought it bcoz it was cheap and for the camera only, did i mention the sound quality is so poor, even a 150eur phone does it better?
not to mention the weak CPU which for non gamers will be more than ok
video recording needs update, ever since teh release nothing has changed and when moving phone while recording the video gets some lags, idk how to call it, it's almost as if some frames get lost, no other phone i ever owned did that
smaller price with better specs? sorry, Huwei got that ratio quite perfect, you get quality, performance and ease of use (EMUI is the best user interface out there)
second to that is Samsung, and after dozen of other brands there is Apple and finally Xiaomi
