Camera setup is of course very very good but the sensor is not the best than 808 pureview

I don t understand why is so expensive . First of all the specs are not in the same league as s20 from Samsung , s20 simple has better specs , who is cheaper , s20 ultra is in another league.
And second is a chinese brand just like Xiaomi (but Xiaomi has a lor better specs and price ), not a luxury brand like Apple or Samsung . If you want highers specs with brand you can choose Apple or Samsung , but if don t mind the brand and you can accept chinese phones why would someone buy HUawei and not Xiaomi ? Xiaomi has better featires 12gb ram 8k video and is also cheaper

It's is simple.
10x optical zoom sounds more cool than 5x.
Didn't the p30 pro get praises of reviewer for having 5x optical zoom even having 8MP resolution ?
Same will happen with the P40 pro+.

2- it does not make sense to reduce resolution of a 5x picture on the pro+ compared to the pro. Why spend more money to get less resolution 8MP vs 12MP?

At that time no doubt Nokia phones where really good in quality, design and camera still they were lost due to "Software - OS". Now think same about these huawei phones.

Anonymous, 02 Apr 2020can the new huawei perform well, without google?It may take some getting used to. I mean the mate 30 pro was amazing Hardware. Software back them was odd. After side loading GMS felt like a normal phone with some slight issues. But the ecosystem is getting better but not quite there yet

U can use phone clone to transfer those apps on the huawei phone and it will work, even keep ur conversation history. To be honest not much different, but im sure they are working on to bring more apps to download.

Sounds unfair for me to pay more to get less resolution at same zoom level. Seems even non sense, unless there is a trick to get a 12MP by combining the 50 and 8 into something that could produce a 12MP image?

optical ZOOM comparison S20 48mp x (4x4) = 768
P40 pro+ 8mp x (10x10) = 800
and P40 ISO High 8mp x 3x fixed optical is 409600

Anonymous, 31 Mar 20204200mah battery, too small for 2020I had Mate 20 Pro and it has the same size battery. It could last litteraly whole day even if you are using it all day. I didnt use it every time of the day and it could last day and a half.
