Remember, this is a flagship phone, if ppl paying 300-400$, most might not complain. But when you are charging 1200€ for this phone, you better give latest chipset which will be more futureproof for video rendering, gaming and other heavy duty tasks.

Go look at benchmarks and speed tests.
Snapdragon 865 and Exynos 990 outperforming A13 and Kirin 990.
Anonymous, 14 Mar 2020Then ignore the exynos 990, it also have last year a76 cores, not the new a77 coresBenchmarks tell you all you need to know about which chipset is last year and which chipset is 2020 level.
mobileman, 10 Mar 2020yes,looks great phone for paper and i think it is,but...
no google, maps and youtube support... moreLack of google apps is not big issue for me, I only use gmail and youtube. I replace gmail with any other client mail (outlook, anything that connects to imap.gmail.com)... Youtube can't work in background always hated it because of that.
Bigger problem is that some other companies such as Revolut virtual credit card app bans Huawei and app doesn't updates via play store any more. Had to use Aptoide. Out of principle I replaced Revolut with N26 virtual card. I won't tolerate these games, they wanna fight, they won't get my money. Cheers Revolut !

Usama Abd, 11 Mar 2020The camera is always better in huawei p40 proCan p40 pro do 8k video recording with HDR10+ and full manual controls?
Besides the P40 pro will always lag behind cheaper flasghips which are sporting new generation SD865 chipset. No one wants last year's chipset in a 2020 flagship.
I need GMS.....
Good pohne
Just start a new thread here: what will the MSRP for P40 Pro in your country? Just post it here.
I'll start. I guess that In China, P40 will start at RMB5,499, P40 Pro at RMB5,999, and P40 Pro Premium at RMB6,999.

I'm from China and I don't have any plan to buy a 5G mobile phone in H1 this year, either. The economy prospect for China is not that positive as the govn't said. Most shopping centres have been closed for two months and small business owners are striving for a living. Ppl are beginning to feel the pressure of sluggish development.
Huawei master race. Noone can beat them. They are the best and all other phone companies will spent the future on playing catch up to Huawei.
P40 Pro Premium and Mate 40 Pro will wipe the floor clean with all other phones in the world.
all brands are good, 11 Mar 2020Let's be fair to all phones. all phones have their pros and cons no perfect phone even if how ... moreregarding DSLR, I am anti-talent, I have one, my kids make better photographies than I do - P30 pro has nice post processing and I end up with a good photo. I guess for me, it will be P40 pro; no more nor less.
No 3.5mm jack. No radio. Small battery yet. OLED organic degradation. Fail.
For me this year will be P40 Pro, or Xperia 1 mark II
or stick to my mate20pro if they dissapoint or 1400$-ish pricetag
Let's be fair to all phones. all phones have their pros and cons no perfect phone even if how much as we want it. if you want to have the best captured photo just use dslr instead of buying pricey smartphones.
