Zoom quality on phones is crap. Potato quality.
A review 'by the professionals' ? which one of them owns the phone from day 0 until now and has been using it ever since each day?
Sorry, most of them put up a review after few days, to make their review be first on youtube, or generally on the internet, else they won't be popular.
I own the phones, i know they weakness.
For example, if you drive a car that is not that old, google for reviews on your car, compare with your own experience and then you will know how far those professional reviews are from the truth.

P40 are use for daily pics on streets, portraits, before & after work. And it does not dissapoint. In fact its impressive given its sensor size between my actual cameras (of course not better). And its telephoto is VERY USEFUL in my genre of photography.

Yeah should we trust Gsmarena, Dxomark, Phonearena, Android Authority, Android Central, Techradar, Cnet, The Verge, 9to5google, even a review from camera professionals, over your bizzare unpractical method of review?

Keep it between smartphone only. Telephoto in a phone can be a good use & definitely my needs in a smartphone camera, especially for portraits & streets. So yes, I prefer it more than a macro.
Skills is the most important thing in photography. Gear comes second. If u dont have any skills, please dont buy a flagship camera smartphone & expect a good outcome from it.

Dayligh are great but night pics are somet... morei own S20Ultra that i bought after i dropped P40Pro while tying my shoes....that was like less than 20cm drop and the phone got scored through the case and broke the display on the edge;
now i bought P40Pro bcoz i thought it could take better pics than Xiaomi MiNote10 that i bought 2019. It can't, videos yes, but pictures made by that Xiaomi are far better than P40Pro or almost better than S20Ultra.
So if someone owns a MiNote10 = there is no better phone to take pictures with.
I own all of those phones, and was surprised that it doesn't matter if on tripod or not, P40Pro can't even beat the S20Ultra, and Xiaomi has set the level way too high.
And don't get me wrong, both S20Ultra and P40Pro are nice phones and faster than MiNote10, but if it's picture quality, they lost.

Asad7079, 08 Jun 2021I have xiaomi 10t pro and it has 108 megapixel camera and i tried it by myself with p40 pro an... moreinteresting claim, i compared P40pro vs MiNote10 vs S20Ultra, in both daylight and at night;
the results were surprising, in daylight pics Xiaomi ans Sasmung had the most accurate colors and more details than P40pro, and with Xiaomi i compared only the 27MP version, bcoz i didn't had to use full resolution, in case of Samsung i had to go for full 108MP bcoz in photo mode it takes some 12MP pics only (4:3 @4000x3000);
at night Xiaomi conquered the other both phones without any question,
but only in 'Pro' mode, bcoz in 'photo' mode where AI chooses what to do, the S20Ultra won the fight....however, the white balance was awesome, Xiaomi managed to get extreme amount of details, so i could zoom in;
now P40pro made some pics seem as it was day, but none of them had details if the objects were further away, and if there was any source of light, it would turn it into a supernova and make everything around it not visible.....and the software added artifacts and sometimes changed the colors of the picture, the other phones did not;
when i go to take pics, i take MiNote10 and S20Ultra, P40Pro can only make videos that are maybe better than what S20Ultra does, or they have same quality.

and works really well on night mode....
I compare it to the s21 ultra and for me it's better

P40 pro has a better picture processing system.
I know there's no Google in it but the hardware huawei gaved in p40 pro is comparable to iPhone 12 pro max and also s21 ultra.
Tbh guys it's not about how many cameras or megapixels you have in the camera
It's about all over the phone the components and everything.
I am an android and ios user i work in a mobile shop and i know about every phone in the market and i test all the phones.
And i just wanna say that if somebody doesn't like the phone please don't try to spread false rumors about them.

I just use my p40 pro about a week and for me the camera is not a problem. It is working fine and everything is working good.
Well the p40 pro has a 5x optical zoom and the p40 pro+ has a 10x optical zoom and it is better(I think) but for me the p40 pro is fine and it doesn't cost a lot of money like the p40 pro+.
