Hardware used are very good, big sensor from UWA, main & telephot... moreYou can search the comparison made by Chris from Tech tablets and you will see that Mi 10 Ultra took over Mate 40 Pro in some conditions. I am not a pro but he is. Maybe for you video doesn't matter but for most of us it does a lot. But like you said to each it's own. Considering the huge performance Xiaomi has gained with photo and video, Huawei phones will go down even more. But remains to be seen :)

Hardware used are very good, big sensor from UWA, main & telephoto, a first time for Xiaomi. But not the rest. Like I said, thats videography only, which is not my genre. Photography wise, Huawei + Leica image algorithm, great quality lens are the one I chose. Really satisfied.

I know it's about the indoors one and even if it doesn't matter for some, it matters to me. I currently using a Poco X3 and it's a very good for the price I paid and I am waiting for Mi 11 to come to Europe or I will import Mi 10 Ultra. Xiaomi is not what it was in the past anymore and in a video comparison it bested Mate 40 Pro.

And guess what? Yesterday I received ota update (December security patch - .168) EMUI 11 with new camera app updated. Seems like the quality now has been fixed! Pheww I have no complains now.
Xiaomi phones? Nahhh not my kind of device. Love image processing by Huawei more, in terms of photography (BM3D tech, Super Res algorithm between focal length). But gotta say, the only Xiaomi that got me interested are Mi 10 Ultra.

It seems that Huawei doesn't know and never did how to make their phones take good video quality. I am going to switch to Xiaomi since they reached an amazing performance with their phones, especially with Mi 10 Ultra. Now that Xiaomi has passed them, their is no need to buy and struggle with a Huawei phone.

Anyway, I already update to EMUI 11. The only decrease quality that I'm aware of is when using FF video in indoor/low light. Its like 70% worse lol. Its not affecting me much as I'm using it mainly more into photography (rear cams). And on that regards, I think EMUI 11 has much better quality, no more magenta color cast in certain lighting condition. So I'm all good.

Camera quality decreasing is normal for almost all brands. I used and still using Samsung phones and that was always the case. Bought p40 pro last year. Night mode is much worse than it was before.

At least this is better than xiaomi for customer support, or you may end up paying so much for something like Apple Care.

Great mobile, btw all apps from the old mobile was transferred to p40 pro and the only Netflix was not working, but after installing from another market is working perfectly.
