Huawei p8lite says that the Huawei home is not responding. Problem persists even after restarting and powering off. Is there a way to fix it without having to restore factory settings and loosing all information on my phone?

Hi, my phone fell in the water, and was submerged for almost a minute. I dried it immediately, and it started getting hot, to a point where I couldn't hold it in my hand. I put it in a tub with dry rice in the sun. What else can I do. Will it work again?
