To all who upgraded their P9 Plus/P9 from Marshmallow (Android 6) to Nougat (Android 7)...How would you compare battery life? Is it better, the same or worse?

With you having Nougat now how would you compare battery life in comparison to how it was with Marshmallow?
I have good news for all the Huawei P9 users. Apparently Huawei is gonna roll out oreo for the P9 afterall starting from June 30th. Android authority has updated it in their website. Check out the link below ;

And still its the same. The most prominent thing i noticed was the device operations become more smoother than it was in marshmallow. Maybe you can download the nougat update for your P9 model from the internet and flash it manually. Hope this helps :)

Thank you my friend. That was certainly a mouthful which I enjoyed reading every step of the way. One finally question...how's the overall speed now? With Marshmallow the speed is super fast. In your view is it faster with Nougat, the same or slower?
Thanks for the time out you take to answer my questions. I appreciate it.

Huawei designed EMUI 5.0 based on the newly released Android 7.0. The brand new EMUI 5.0 is inspired by the pure blues and whites of the Aegean Sea. The interface is simple and smart, and EMUI 5.0 comes with enhanced, powerful performance that allows mobile phones to operate more smoothly.
• A cleaner, more interactive interface A brand new UI and effects inspired by the blues and whites of the Aegean Sea. Simplified gestures, with most operations completed in 3 steps. EMUI 5.0 is more customizable, offering an optional Android App Drawer layout to users.
• Enhanced features System operations are more fluid, allowing you to view a massive amount of images, browse websites, and perform searches faster.
• Notifications An optimized design combines shortcuts with notifications to reduce the complexity of user actions. Touch and hold notifications to quickly block messages and notifications. Reminder cards are stacked to save space.
• Three dimensional task management Tasks are stacked three dimensionally on the UI. Smooth gestures allow users to scroll through tasks by sliding up and down or dismiss tasks by swiping left or right.
• Camera Camera now supports plug-in management. Infrequently used modes, like document scan, are presented as plug-ins.
• Contacts Customization and sharing features added to name cards. The sharing feature allows quick sharing of contacts through Bluetooth, Facebook, and other methods. Added a scanner to the search box and lock screen, making it easier to add new contacts.
• Email Improved how unread emails are tagged in the inbox. Users can now quickly delete, star, and mark emails as read or unread from the left sliding menu.
• Settings Created a new suggested settings feature that recommends key settings based on the device's current status. Now, your phone is more capable of adjusting to your habits. Added a newly designed drawer feature. When this feature is enabled, it hides non-system preset apps in a drawer on the home screen, presenting you with a simple and tidy layout. Added a new drawer feature for settings. For settings that take two or more steps to set up, the user can now jump directly back to the main settings page with one gesture. Emergency information added. Users can add their names, blood type, and other information, so emergency services personnel can view this information from the lock screen. Added eye comfort mode, enabling you to adjust the screen color temperature manually to lessen visual fatigue.]

What differences does Nougat bring to the P9/P9 Plus? Please share the changelog and your own findings with me.
[deleted post]Maybe you should get your device to a huawei service center and get it checked. And btw the huawei P9 plus has the Android 7.0 nougat update. Why are you still on marshmallow ?
Oreo is "heavy" for kirin 955... I just thing that they don't want to deal with a phone that wont sell any more. This is why Huawei is always going to be third or less... When you buy a flagship, you expect to be supported accordingly. Maybe the last device I buy from that firm.
Anonymous, 26 Jun 2018On Huawei P10 Lite is Kirin 658Oh sorry my bad...but still it proves my point. Then the 658 is even inferior compared to the 955 and still supports oreo and yet Huawei can't make their flagship Devices support oreo :-(

And the honor 6x and the honor 8 lite /gr3 2017 which has the kirin 655 processor is already confirmed for oreo. So why not the Huawei p9 which has a very powerful processor compared to the 659 and the 655 get Oreo. They should focus on their flagship devices first. We pay premium prices for these devices and even before 2 years updates are abandoned :-(

I agree with you my friend. Out of curiosity though,
which of the Kirin 655 and 659 got the Oreo update?
How can that make the phone worse. If the kirrin 659 and the 655 which are very underpowered chipsets compared to the 955 can support oreo why the hell can't the 955 support oreo too. Just lame excuses. Really disappointed
Zrmughal01, 21 Jun 2018Huawei p9 isn't getting oreo update.. Very disappointed 😥 Yeah sad about it. But they say it would make phone worse, so if its true its nice that they care
How can one solve the problem of one of the simcard not showing or in service. Because the only way it's showing, it's when I have it on preferred network. But in 2G mode it's not
