sunit, 05 May 2016still no 4k recording in huawei phones..where is 2k display..still huawei using full HD displa... moreHardly. Huawei have recently stated they will be using 2k screens in the future and haven't been doing so because the gain is not enough for the extra toll on performance and battery life. Which is true. Unless you compare a fhd to a 2k screen side by side you would never notice the difference in every day use. Apart from the added lag and depleting battery. There is still no reason to go 2k under a 6" screen. Most companies - Samsung, LG, Sony - use it because they don't want a contender to get one up on them - it's an accepted gimmick. 99% of people who look at this phone won't be worrying about the screen res - just 1% of people - if that - want it because they think it's better not because it is better.

USB-C has more potential, it can transfer audio better (replaces 3.5mm headphones jack) and is more durable.

I think it's the best looking device so far this year. Gotta love a slim design and a quality build.. I think there are so many haters because Huawei genuinely have made a bit of a "Wolf" to scare the "Sheep" that always buy the same brand. I'm waiting for a P9 plus but both look genuine contenders for anyone wanting a change from Samsung/Sony/LG/Apple..
still no 4k recording in huawei phones..where is 2k display..still huawei using full HD display where others using 2k.....this processor is not capable to encode decode 4k recording..what a shame for a 2016 flagship device.
Amazing phone, very sleek in design and lightweight.
Camera is nothing like any other its outstanding .
The hardware of the camera is great but the biggest let down is the camera software optimisation. As far as the hardware is considered the camera on this phone is capable of shooting way better pics and videos than what it does right now.
The camera quality of this device is ultimately dragged down by its improperly implemented camera API. I just hope someone releases a custom ROM for this device with better camera API.
Other than the processor too is a big let down, I still can't understand how a processor with such a high number of Cortex-A72 cores still not able to encode and decode 4K media. Just where the hell those truckloads of processing power being wasted. Even a old Snapdragon 801 processor supports 4K encoding and decoding why can't this new powerful processor do that?
In response to the guy who claims overheating issues... The reviews of the P9 have stated no overheating during benchmark tests... I've handled the P9 in a couple of shops both been on retail demo's all day, they were both cooler than the S7 and Z5 premium which were similarly set up. The latest incarnations of Snapdragon and Exynos processors both are reported to have 30-40% throttling due to overheating after less than 0.5 hours of use!
Nadeem, 04 May 2016Bro... Huawei P9 plus is coming with dual sim... display size 5.2" with 4 GB Ram very soon.FYI 5.5" on P9 plus buddy
Well... No FM Radio = No buy. As simple as that.
And boy, i was waiting for this phone to be released.
If Huawei had put FM Radio and dual sim with a separeted micro sd expansion, i've certainly would have bought this. This way, i'll have to look at another brand... The first brand that puts both these specs along with great design and great hardware specs will get my money, for sure.
Anonymous, 03 May 2016Again i really dont understand the manufactures....why dont we have a P9 with dual-sim in Euro... moreThe Dual-Sim model is available in Europe too.
I have bought it in Romania and i have the EVA-L19 model.

Just buy P9 two days before & worst thing happened when I came to know that the USB port is Usb 3.1 type-c 1.0 reversible which is not like universal port or other smartphone which are using Micro usb Type B, If Company want to use USB 3.0 why don't they use Micro-b Usb 3.0 - What they are thinking to compare their product with iphone to become different from others........NOW U CANNOT ABLE TO USE FLASH USB DIRECTLY TO THIS PHONE......who ever is planning to buy this phone think before .....
