It’s not the Ascend D that we were hoping for, but new droids are always welcome. Huawei’s Honour U8860 and the Ideos X5 Pro are now available in India on online stores, like Flipkart. The Honour retails for Rs.19,990 and the Ideos X5 Pro sits at Rs.13,800. The Huawei Ideos X5 Pro is the replacement to the Ideos X5, which now features a faster 1GHz processor and comes pre-installed with Gingerbread. The Honour, on the other hand is a higher-end Android and is all set to compete with the Sony Ericsson Neo V, HTC One V and Samsung Galaxy S Plus.

hey why is this phone for 23000 rs in India while rest of the world pays so less
Well, after my I9000 was stolen i needed good Android based phone, so i ordered Honor via ebay. At first i was skeptic about it but when i got it (10 days ago) i was like "WOW" this is great phone. For that price (~250€) u can't get better new phone. My recommendation!
i have had this phone for a week now, initially it came with android 4.0.1 but i have downgrade it to android 2.3.2,now i have observe that the phone is not stable when it on android 4.0,but after downgrading it to android 2.3,woo,the performance is superb,it has a better battery life, and it come with a alot of good experience compare with Samsung galaxy s2,to me the phone is superb when it running on android 2.3,bravo to huawei, they have done it again

In this kind of situation, I can advise you don't use any phone / tabs / any such gadjets.. Because by any means of phone / sms / e-mail they can attack on u or on US... Eh?? he he he.. :D :D :D.
Dude, brand names like Huawei will never do those bad things(what of u r fearing) to put down their branding. Though its a China originated company, yet it is trying to enter the Nokia/ Samsung/LG smartpone market with reliable & valued product with low pricing compared to the rivals. Now, one thing is sure, electronic items at any point may get damaged but that does not mean those are all cheapest parts/portions that was used to make the phone.
Hope you got my point. First use this phone (am planning to buy next week :D ) and then comment that "Chinese are spreading viruses againt US thru chinese branded phones" and so rubbish!!!

Chinese have increased their cyber attacks on american corporations and are stealing R&D work rampantly. Take time to read newspapers dude. History has shown they wage a different kind of war.

I am neither against you nor Chinese products. But surely want to say one thing, if the product name is HUAWEI, then I think we can think twice before "agree"-ing you... right???
considering the fact that chinese are notorious in terms of hacking people's account and you combine it with Android, easiest to hack of all the mobile OS. I am skeptical if it would be a good idea to go for chinese products - even if they cost a fraction of price with same specs to high range phones from other manufacturers. Nope dont want to compromise with my privacy at all!!!
