Sun Sand, 02 Aug 2019Instead of messy pop camera with motor driving it up n down etc, a simple dot in screen corner... morepunch hole and the notch are both distracting and will be obsolete within 3-4 years
motorized pop up is better because apps can't spy on you through front cam
why downgrade a better solution where the camera is physically hidden when not used?

Instead of messy pop camera with motor driving it up n down etc, a simple dot in screen corner is good is great. It opens up space for bigger battery, dedicated memory slot.

Nice to see USB C.

Redmi Note 7 has Led Notification placed neatly at the Bottom and does the job.

How does one manage without 'Led Notification" on phone?

To prolong the life of your battery pack, keep these tips in mind for proper lithium-ion battery care. The lifespan of your lithium-ion battery should last between 300-500 charge and discharge cycles,(depending on the manufacturer) which usually amounts to 2-3 years. In short, if I want my battery to last longer, I shouldn’t charge it above 85%, and not let it discharge below 25% battery level. At this range, you receive the best balance of depth of discharge and runtime. If you stay in this zone, you can maximize your battery use and retain that healthy battery life for a much longer time.Li-ion batteries are designed to perform its best between 30 percent and 80 percent capacity so, once the battery hits lower than 30, feel free to charge your smartphone already. Likewise, once the charge hits 80 percent, you really don't need to wait for your phone to reach 100 percent anymore. (you can check this in battery- power consumption details- battery usage- and you will see how this cycle does not count here.)
Think of you battery as the human body throughout the day. You don't really need to wait like you're about to die to take some rest and recharge yourself and you also don't need a perfect eight or nine hour sleep to be able to function at full capacity.

I have used the

A20
A30
A50
A70
Honor 8x

The 710 Kirin processor in this is VASTLY improved from previous models which had it.

It expands to 256 GB. I have 268 Apps and more than 3000 photos and still have 223 GBs left.

I use the phone HEAVILY. Doing 8-10 things simulatenously on this phone has had NO lag whatsoever. I have 15 pages full of widgets and my MBPS download speed is 15-25 MBPS and 3-7 MBPS upload speed.

It is a bit heavier than most phones. But for nearly 6.6 inches with the ability to fill the whole screen. You can't beat it for $205 USD.

The fact that I've used this phone HEAVILY since it launched in Pakistan roughly 1 month ago and has shown no signs of lagging whatsoever and it gets me a full 8 hours with HEAVYYYYYY use. It may not support fast charging but if you turn the phone off and let it charge. In 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 min, you will be good. I don't personally take a lot of photos besides screenshots but the ultrawide ability on the front camera is awesome for capturing huge photos without having to take it, then rotate it out of portrait mode to horizontal.

I recommend this phone highly as I have worked in this industry for 11+ years

waleed, 30 Jul 2019i want to buy 2 mobiles for my parents i need to choose from those 1- huawei p30 lite 2- ho... moreAlso, best Huawei device depends on which country you live in. Because they make dozens of nearly similar devices and then price them differently.

To top it off, one device might be cheaper than the other in one country but in another country, it would be completely opposite.

waleed, 30 Jul 2019i want to buy 2 mobiles for my parents i need to choose from those 1- huawei p30 lite 2- ho... moreAmong the ones you mentioned:
Huawei P30 Lite > Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 > Honor 8X

P30 Lite has best camera & offers NFC but its battery is a bit smaller.
Y9 Prime 2019 offers decent camera, no NFC but it's battery is bigger.
8X doesn't stand out in anyway. It offers big battery and NFC.
*NFC availability depends on which country you're buying it from.
The performance is similar in all three.

Alternatives:
There is a cheaper phone that also offers decent camera & performance, big battery and display. It also offers Infrared Port so your parents can use it to control TV, AC and stuff.
It's Redmi Note 6 Pro.
Its chipset isn't strong enough to handle PUBG on HD graphics but it can handle it on Smooth and High fps. Though your parents probably aren't into PUBG so it should be fine.

In this price range, best device to buy is Realme 3 Pro. I can't stress enough how much better its camera is with amazing 4K video recording quality. The performance is also much superior than the devices you mentioned, though the battery is average/similar.

There are also Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 7 Plus. Both of these them have great cameras and more powerful chipsets as well with good battery timing.

waleed, 31 Jul 2019i need it next weekThen you should go for HUAWEI Y9 Prime (2019).

Because the phone has EMUI 9.0 and Android 9 and I strongly believe HUAWEI has enhanced the processor - Kirin 710F.
