Huawei Android

Two days ago we learned that Huawei is all set to launch a pop-up camera smartphone in India by the end of this month. The company has two smartphones in its portfolio sporting an elevating camera, P Smart Z and Y9 Prime (2019), so it was obvious that either of them will make its way to India. But now, it all points to Y9 Prime (2019) debuting in India this month.

Confirmation comes from Amazon.in that teased the arrival of the Y9 Prime (2019) in India on its app. The e-commerce giant hasn't revealed the launch date of the phone and only says that it's "coming soon".

A trustworthy source has told us that the Y9 Prime (2019) will be sold under the INR20,000 ($290/€260) mark in India with millennials being the target audience.

In that price range, Huawei will compete with the Realme X which was launched earlier this week in India. It's priced at INR16,999 ($245/€220) for the 4GB/128GB model and INR19,999 ($290/€260) for the 8GB/128GB version.

There's the Redmi K20 as well which starts at INR21,999 ($320/€285) for the 6GB/64GB version and costs INR2,000 ($30/€25) more for double storage.

You can head this way to check out the detailed specs of these smartphones.
