Don't know any more wether I'm clueless on those 2 matters because am the medical field or am I stupid?
I truly hope someone can offer poor ol me some assistance..
Does 2k PDA support reading/editing of word/excel/powerpoint docs? Are the required softwares part of the package or do we need to buy them seperatly?
Well, looks like a great machine. After 3 weeks of looking at every option to replace my Palm Tungsten C I have decided to go with this..just deciding now whther to go with GSM or whether to go with PDA 2K EVDO (the CDMA model) CDMA has much faster data transfer and better coverage in rural areas so I think thats the go. Should be ordered in next week- I can't wait!!
this is THE phone. its all sold out all over europe. if u want to buy then there is a waiting period of 2 weeks
Is the PDA2K the same phone as the Qtek 9090 ?
I need a phone with wireless, blue tooth and infra-red connectivity. Will be used for E-mail, Internet, Excel, Word, Calendar and Appointments. So far I have looked at the i-mate PDA2K and the Nokia 9500 Communicator. The i-mate appears to be the best option. What would you recommend and why?
great all in one device; but missing some options that would make it a better phone (i.e. voice activated dialing; adding a newly received number to an already existing name in one's address book) but i guess you can not have it all or else you would need to get a great phone and a powerful PDA.
Keep in mind that the sliding keyboard starts getting a bit loose and slides off from its position after 2-3 months of use.
The biggest problem that i have came from customer service and support in the Middle East; they are all based in Dubai and do not have the faintest idea how to keep their clients happy (i am comparing to the great service and support that i had from Palm when i had a problem with my old Palm Vx) and so i opted to throwing away the old imate "2020" and getting the PDA2k for lack of better alternatives. God forbid i have another problem with this one, i don't think that i will even entertain the idea to call support, but will rather take the easy way out and get anothe device.
I work in the mobile industry, and own both a D500 and one of these... and this pda is great, especially when you have 2 phones, because you then dont look silly having 2 phones, just say... "Ones a phone, and the other one is a PDA"!!!
For those interested, The PDA2K can handle a 1GB SD card.
Guys O2 is the company manufacturing Imates too so O-o
Hi, i'm comparing between I-mate PDA2K and the Palmone Treo 650.....
which is better for daily use.
can the Treo connect to MSN messenger ???
To, all loroo s who donot post their opinions and ask questions.
PDA2K is the best at its price. A little heavier than I-mate pocket PC but WiFi.
I m using Imate Pocket PC and thinking of buying it.
My phone was the Orange branded SPV M2000. It was recalled due to a speaker problem. I waited 7 weeks to get it back.
The phone has some great functions including easy access to Word, it syncs with Outlook beautifully but its internet download speed is slow compared to my SonyEricsson P910 and phone often freezes, which means taking the battery off to kick-start the phone.
It rather large too. I would have gone for the I-Mate Jam had its UK launch not been so heavily delayed. Maybe my next phone in 8 months time.
Imate PDA2K,read more about it, i'm getting mine soon.
Could anyone suggest which would be the better product to buy between:
1. Nokia 9500 Communicator
2. Imate PDA2K
I would like to have the following features:
2. use MS Offcie applications
6. wireless headset
Also, does anyone know which make MMC (card make and model number needed) can be used for the 9500 Nokia communicator?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Hello, I didn't realy get your opinion, did u mean that the Device Can't send files via Bluetooth? How is it while driving, can u like sms while driving without having to use both hands? I'm on a plan to buying this nice Business
Does anyone know if eXPerience would work on this NICE thing, i've been using a nokia 6600 & the ipaq 3870, With the i-mate pda2k "it combines both then i won't have to carrie 2 devices with me!
I have owned a PDA2K for two weeks now and have noticed, while it is a execellent unit, that the keyboard has become excessively loose. The bluetooth functionality/connectivity is also less then that of my previous phone, Siemens S55. Overall, good unit apart from some minor flaws.
Can i ask this mobile from where i mean what the company made this mobile?
