Then do a little google on HTC ROM force-installing tool, this tool is required to put ROM from another party to your unsigned phone (not authorized by HTC). If you need more help contact me remo114 at gmail dot kom.

The WiFi problem is still hanging around but I find it a strange symptom now. Elsewhere, at Suvannaphum a/p, at Phnom Penh a/p, or at any hotspot, even at the i-mobile service my i858 WiFi connects well, leaving my home connection as the only one trouble location! I did trial and error to the router settings but all's in vain. My son told me to give up hope for connecting through wi-fi at home.
moto is sinking
can be upgraded to v2.2?
This handset is pretty handsome, 4.3' screen looks so cool, I'm planning to buy this phone very soon, in here, in Cambodia it costs 290$. It's running Android, what a cool OS!!!!

WIFI connection is primary for me.If this set has not got good connectivity, then it`s not for me. I travel a lot and want to browse the net at airports while waiting.
Now, It supports Android 2.1.
I had a difficult time in the beginning. I had to take it to a mobile mechanic to learn how to operate but I must say it's a great phone for the price I paid in MBK in Bangkok.I need a second battery due to its size. If the phone had 3.o amp powered battery, that would have been sufficient. The phone needs to improve its camera quality. I am happy.

My first smartphone, bought and used it for one week now. Screen is great, viewable even in sunlight, very fine screen font displays smoothly, reading on the 4.3" display is pleasing to my eyes.
Feeling in hand is not so good because of its width. I often made accidental click on the volume control while inside plastic sleeve, I had to cut off an oblong hole over the button to make it less sensitive to pressure of my thumb.
I cannot make a firm wi-fi conn to my ADSL wireless router at home it keeps cut-in and then cut-out all the times (this is second unit, i-mobile shop gave me a replacement after I made claim on the problem). Wi-Fi connection at the shop tested OK. At home there are 2 iMacs, 1 BB, 1 MacBook and 1 Acer PC NB, all make quick and firm connections, except this i858, sad. Set limit for IP addresses is 12, so this is not the reason.
Appreciate it if anyone would give me an idea where to look at to solve this problem.
