Vivo is gearing up to bring another entry-level smartphone to the India market and we just got out first look at the device. The Y90 will be the latest entry in the Chinese manufacturer’s lineup and looks to offer a large battery with a waterdrop notch screen.
Past leaks have shown the device will come with a 6.22-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch housing the 5MP selfie cam. Around the back, the Y90 will utilize a single 8MP shooter paired with an LED flash. Biometric authentication will be done through the front cam as the phone will come without a fingerprint sensor.
The Y90 will rely on the Helio A22 paired with 2 GB RAM and 32GB storage. Battery wise the Y90 will ship with a generous 4,030 mAh cell. The software department will be handled by Funtouch OS 9 on top of Android Pie.
The vivo Y90 will be available in Black and Gold colors with a starting price of INR 6,990 ($101). The pricing will make it a direct competitor to other entry-level devices like the Redmi 7A and Samsung’s Galaxy M10. The release date is still not specified but we should be hearing more in the coming weeks.
