I have big issues with the net coverage. I don't get a net (operator signal? How do you say it in English? I get "Emergancy calls only" on the display anyway.) in places where other phones work flawlessly. So I sent it to the workshop, in NOVEMBER. They expect to get a spare part maybe next week....

So to me this phone is a big disappointment.

Been using it for a couple of days only real problems so far are:
- file manager takes ages to 'sync' (sync? y? just read the damn filelist)
- So many rubbish 2 minute game demos you can't remove (£5 for a mobile phone game? thanx... but no thanx)
- MSN client is painful to use

@Johan: I had the same problem. The simplest way seems to be to delete all messages in one go. You can do this using the PC Suite program INQ Mini comes from. If you are on Mac as I am, you can first mark all e-mail message in your inbox (in the Option menu of your inbox), and then hit delete. This should delete all marked messages and empty your inbox. (Not sure if this is the right solution for you, but it took me some time to find out, so I've thought I'd share it.)

Haven't been that far with messages/email yet, but decent memory on a phone doesn't always mean lots of storage. Many Sony Ericssons only store up to 100 messages and it'd be interesting to find out what the firmware/software limit is for things like this. So, you might be able to have a 4GB card in the Inq Mini for pics and music etc, but only able to store a certain amount of msgs/emails etc. I can't find any detailed information on this myself from the Inq site. Having said that, Sony don't tell you you've just bought a phone that can't store many messages either!!

As usual in the UK certain phones are locked to one network. This one locked to 3 Network and I can't see that its availabloe sim-free anywhere as yet. However its quite a new model. I bought it for email and mobile internet which is pretty good, but no better really than my cheap Nokia 2630! Texting is difficult for two reasons: a) the font size cannot be changed from ultra small - although it gives you the option it doesn't work, and b) to use the keypad you need fingers like jackhammers. Physiotherapy time. But for sprice, I agree its great. And the colourful, fun-looking user interface is a welcome change from years of tiresome Nokia, Sony and Samsung predictability. I am experimenting with unlocking this phone and if I'm successful after trying out the various unlock-sharks that infest the internet's waters I shall report back!
