Apple iOS Rumors

We're getting close to Apple's September event, as evidenced by the number of iPhone 16 leaks and rumors.

Jokes aside, today we have some solid-looking info about the quartet. Starting with leaked metal dummies, courtesy of Sonny Dickson on X. These dummies are typically for case and accessory makers to tailor their new products on.

The dummies reveal the entire iPhone 16 lineup and give us a few interesting observations. Starting with the sizes. The iPhone 16 and 16 Pro look more or less the same size, the iPhone 16 Plus sits in the middle, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max is the biggest.

This seemingly corroborates an earlier report that the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will increase the screen sizes to 6.27” and 6.85”, up from 6.1” and 6.7” - but keep the size jump to a minimum thanks to reduced bezels. The 16 and 16 Plus are expected to keep the 6.1" and 6.7" display sizes, respectively, meaning the 16 Pro dummy could be a tiny bit bigger than the 16.

Moving on to the sides. It appears all iPhone 16 models will get both an Action Button on the left and the new Capture Button on the right side. So far the Action Button had been a Pro-only affair, but these dummy units would indicate a change.

The Capture Button is expected to be a mechanical button but with a capacitive surface to allow for swiping gestures for zooming. Interestingly, the Capture Button sits exactly where the mmWave antenna is on current-gen US units.

Finally, according to a Weibo-sourced report, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will realize the rumored Rose color by employing the same color-infusing technology Apple pioneered on 2023's iPhone 15 and 15 Plus.

It's a method of infusing color throughout the back glass, which is then strengthened with a dual-ion exchange process before it's finally polished with nanocrystalline particles, and etched for a textured matte finish.

Android kills up too though..sometimes even though there is much more than enough ram..Im still waiting for an option to lock a certain app in the ram so it doesn't close.

Yup, along with the very limited set of features and flexibility iOS offers in comparison to Android, Sailfish and obsolete Symbian, WebOS/Kin and Windows phone OSs

You mean killing older apps and never filling up ram?
