You can now finally free your iPad 2 from the shackles of Apple as JailbreakMe 3.0 has gone live. It allows you to perform an untethered jailbreak of your iPad 2 and is reportedly working well on iPads running 4.3.3.
To jailbreak your iPad 2, head over to JailbreakMe and then follow the instructions there to step into a world of true freedom where you can customize the software on your device any way you like. And once you do that, do let us know how it went for you.
Here is a quick video showing how the jailbreak is done, the installation of Cydia and running Cydia for the first time.
JailbreakMe 3.0 jailbreaks iPhones and iPod Touches too. According to comex (the jailbreak author), JailbreakMe 3.0 works on every iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G and 4G running on the latest iOS 4.3.3 plus the CDMA iPhone 4 running on the latest iOS 4.2.8. Support for previous iOS versions will be added in the future.
