Samsung Android Rumors

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is coming soon to Europe, that much has been made abundantly clear by some recent leaks. When exactly that will happen is still quite a mystery, but today we get to find out more about the 'where'.

That is, which places in Europe will be lucky enough to get the rugged version of the Galaxy S5 on sale. This list is based on firmware versions for the phone, spotted on Samsung's servers. There's a chance that more firmware packages will be added later, so this list may not be exhaustive.

So, the Galaxy S5 Active should make it to Austria, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, France, Switzerland, Poland, Slovenia, Germany, Italy, the UK, the Nordic countries, and the Baltics. Note though that in Norway it may be exclusive to Telenor.

When it finally becomes available in Europe, the S5 Active has been rumored to set you back €629. It will be identical, in terms of specs, to the device that AT&T has been selling in the States for a few months now. It complements the 'vanilla' S5's IP67 rating with a MIL-STD-810G certification that ensures it will withstand salt, dust, humidity, rain, vibration, solar radiation, and thermal shock.

Was very interested in buying this phone, even after owning a S4 Active.. but after reading the comments here on GSMA regarding this phone, i will pass.. it seems that the glass shatters very easy.. defeats the purpose of this kind of phone..
