HP LG Windows Mobile AT&T Rumors

Just when we thought that the flood of leaked phones on our homepage is about to stop and here comes the next one (or ones more likely). Two WinMo powered handsets made their unofficial debut and as usually that was enough to secure them a front row seat in the news section. The handsets in question are HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian, which will be running the Windows Mobile 6.5 and the LG Monaco that will run on WinMo 7 and are again destined for the AT&T shelves.

The LG Monaco is yet another fruit of the beneficial cooperation between LG and Microsoft. The side-sliding QWERTY, the 3.2" WVGA touchscreen display and the Windows Mobile 7 OS are LG Monaco's key features. It will also sport a 5 megapixel camera, a microSD card slot as well as Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

LG Monaco

The release date of the Monaco will of course be dependable on the official release of its OS. Considering that the 6.5 update isn't yet available and rumors put WM 7 release somewhere in the second half of 2010, it is highly unlikely that the LG Monaco will appear at AT&T stores any earlier than that.

The HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian will come as a touscreen QWERTY-equipped bar. Running on the Windows Mobile 6.5 it will pack 3G with HSDPA, Wi-Fi and a 2.8" landscape display (now that is some wide phone, isn't it?).

Some of the other interesting features of the HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian include Bluetooth v2.0, built-in GPS and a 3.5mm standard audio jack plus microSD card slot and microUSB jack. There will also be proximity sensor and a light sensor on board. The camera on this one will sport 2 megapixel resolution so you might not want to set your hopes too high.

HP iPAQ K3 Obsidian is scheduled to appear thoughout AT&T stores from 30 November.

who said LG copying SS,..... LG launched KP500, and Samsung launched S5230 afterwards, the same product, same full touch, and everything is almost same....I don't believe tht LG is copying SS because LG I have seen in GSM has many innovative products...
