Ferno, 02 Jan 2017How much u payed for it? With these specs, how much a Samsung phone costs?
P1 got marshmallo... moreAs I already mentioned these are excellent phones first feature wise and secondly price wise. Vibe P1 was released in Sept 2015 and the security updates/patches stopped in June 2016 and I am not taking about OS release but security patches. These phones are not that cheap for Lenovo to abandon updates even before a year of the release.
We as customers should make this information available to fellow customers about what to expect which will help the buying decision.
only if it is going to launch before the end of this month then only im gonna buy it....

Tee, 02 Jan 2017To those of you still debating whether to buy this phone or not.. I highly recommend it. Been ... moreOh and of course the battery is a monster! Over 16 hrs SoT mixed usage with 7% left... pretty awesome.
To those of you still debating whether to buy this phone or not.. I highly recommend it. Been using it for the past 48 hrs and I'm very impressed. Coming from Note 5, Xperia Z3 Compact, LG G2 and Note 3, this phone blows them out of the water.
Performance is smooth with no hiccups, the screen is bright and the colors are vivid. I didn't face any problems installing over 50 apps and it never got warm. Gaming is great, I don't see any frame drops or throttling, games like Marvel COC, Mortal Kombat X, Transformers FTF, Dead Trigger 2 and Real Racing 3 all run smoothly.. identical to my Note 5 if not better.
Only downside is the average camera, it's not too shabby and you can adjust settings for a better picture or use Open Camera app.
Overall a great package for the price, I do not feel this is a medium spec'ed phone, it simply works great and the metal body design is a sure winner.

Amit, 01 Jan 2017Lenovo has a very poor record for providing software updates. Vibe P1 had impressive specs but... moreHow much u payed for it? With these specs, how much a Samsung phone costs?
P1 got marshmallow update.
My htc 820g is still running on 4.4.2.. i bought it for 23k (with same specs of A7000, which is now in 6.0)
Lenovo has a very poor record for providing software updates. Vibe P1 had impressive specs but failed in software updates. Last one I have is dated June 2016. I am afraid the same will be followed for P2. Also they failed to provide a Volte update for P1. Refer to below link. They have lost my trust now.
BhatiaRahul, 01 Jan 2017This is my first post, i don't usually make an effort to write but mostly read the reviews and... morei think the 64 gb is only available in china. the european version is the 32GB. I don´t advise you to buy the chinese version
This is my first post, i don't usually make an effort to write but mostly read the reviews and opinions .
I have been waiting for this phone like you guys but it seems lenovo is not going to launch this phone in mid range price segment in india like its predecessor P1 and P1 turbo, coz it will sweep the market and effect the sales of other post launched mid range K series even the moto also.
I own Sony xperia series and so far they have done commendable job, the only problem i faced all these years is slow charging and not adequate battery and SoT of 3-4hrs. I could have gone for Xiaomi or Huwaei, LecoTV but they are bugged by Communist-China ,the adware and spyware are pre installed in the operating system in hide mode which are shpped to europe and south asian countries. The Redmi Note handset has been reportedly caught red-handed sending smartphone user data to a Chinese server as per Pentagon reports . Even lenovo might be doing the dirty business behind the curtain in their laptops but so far i have not read about any spyware caught in lenovo mobiles.
Anyways the P2 has everything optimized , it has almost all the features what a user wants specially the battery . so what i am gonna do is now that i am searching a dealer in my locality who can import P2 either from china / Malaysia or e-commerce websites which can ship this mobile to india.
So far i have found this below site claiming to give P2 -->>> ROM 64GB and Ram 4 Gb at the price of Rs 25850.61, but i am checking the legality of this site, whereas ebay is claiming to give P2 at Rs32k around . If anybody knows anything else do write up to me I will search the other legal and secure modes as well .
Anonymous, 28 Dec 2016yup if they will launch note 4x with sd 653 then i'll prefer that over p2No AMOLED, no challenge to P2. Xiaomi seems to be afraid to use AMOLED. Maybe the manufacturing cost will go up using AMOLED. Apple is moving towards AMOLED.
Once get used to AMOLED, very hard to go back to IPS...the black of AMOLED while watching movies is second to none...also, energy efficient too...
Anonymous, 30 Dec 2016This phone has poor UI and weirdly, not as fast as other SD625, like the Moto Z play and Zenfo... moreThat's BS. The Moto Z Play uses only 32bit build Android. While the Lenovo P2 uses the full advantage of an 64bit Android.
64bit Linux based OS (such as Android) are superior over 32bit.
Look at the benchmark results here:
So your claim is totally false.
Why did Motorola use a 32bit OS in the year 2016? I would say because they don't care about an "future proof" base. 32bit Android will be dropped by Google in the future anyway.
