Default write disk option is not working & its a software bug. I have mentioned this issue in lenovo mobile India's Facebook page also I have send the screen shot of the software version. You can check that conversation in lenovo mobile India's Facebook page.

Thanks, Sri, Localhyd. Conflicting opinions here. Anyway, lack of compass is a significant drawback, so still looking for alternatives. Other bugs mentioned here (call log, SMS mix up, etc., etc.) are also putting me off.
Does anybody know if Lenovo will upgrade this ph to KitKat? Using Kitkat on my current devices, so JB will be like a step backward. What about community support for custom ROMs? Anybody using custom ROM for this phone?

The navigation is working perfectly without any issue. there is an app named Navigate 6 (Route 66 ) which works brilliantly & gives a 3d navigation with voice assistance. For your kind information it has a 3coloured ( red, green, blue) led notification so you are not going to miss anythingthing.

Thanks to all those who have replied about this phone not having a compass /magnetometer. That would be a serious disadvantage. I guess you cannot get maps to orient properly? What about navigation? How is this phone for navigation? If its bad, it would be a total deal breaker for me. :(
Also, I guess this phone does not have a notification LED? That would be a pretty serious drawback too, as you can't make out when you have a missed call/message/email waiting. :(
Lastly, is it easy to root this ph?

kirna, 03 Jun 2014media player not shown in the display and there is no menu and also getting wifi problem. what do you mean by media player not showing ? it has google play music pre installed for playing music & a inbuilt video player for playing videos. yes there is no menu button like other android phones , the UI is customized by lenovo. cant comment about wifi connection but hotspot & tethering is working perfectly i have checked it & shared my phones internet with my laptop without any issue.

I bought it on month back. One week it was functioning well & good. After that network is not picking up on both sim. Did anyone faced the same.
