I ahve used P780 & now using S860.
Lenovo kitkat in P780 & S860 has a measure drawbak that after upgrading to kitkat you will not get full size caller image.
Lenovo team is asking me to revert back to jellybean.
All other mobile in market with kitkat dosent have this problem, only lenovo has it.
NO FULL SCREEN CALLER IMAGE IN KITKAT.

shack, 06 Sep 2014after upgraded to kitkat.... officially upgrade... the playstore is missing from my pnone... w... moreBefore you upgrade the latest firmware from lenovo,the phone must be told you that you have to back up first all built in apps..you have to register to lenovo service centre on line..upon you doing that,you can download the file and proceed to download and install it..i'm also are using lenovo s860..mine is normal running with out an issue..there is only some lag in system setting..i hate it..any way so far is good condition..

Hi, I have been using this phone Lenovo S 860 since June 2014.
The USP's of this phone -
1. Whopping Battery - 4000 MAH
2. 2 GB RAM
3. Quad core processor
4. 8 MP camera
5. Burst shot inbuilt
There are 2 disappointments with which you can still live :-
1. Lack of Gorilla glass display

Quad core, 2 gb ram, 5.3 hd and 4000 mah battery!! just wow!!Goes like thunder, well i never believed that but i dont use any more the charger yupi!!!!!!!! Thank you Lenovo!!!

4 months have been using it.
- GPS does not work anymore.
- Screen shot picture not clear (like it has been shaded with grey colour)
- New email does not appear in the inbox. Have to open the email through browser instead.

The charging issue is gone after replacing new adaptor.now 0_100in 3 hours. Back up to10 hours of continuous net.standby and data off will definitely give 36 hours..but still feel its less with this battery.have some times issue wid signal.had to reboot sometimes to get back the signal once I miss it.

Hi.
Planning to buy this phone.
Please tell whether it has any issues with the kitkat updates and is this phone buggy and does it require frequent reboots. This will be used by my father his only concern is big battery life and other normal usage.

Guys, I just got this S860 in 3 days. I lived in Jepara, Indonesia. Bought just because its gigantic battery. Was worry with the Kit Kat upgrade though as some friends here got so many troubles. But after 3 times updates to the latest one (files 0.99gig, 400+mb and 300+mb) seems all those troubles gone! Have no issues 'bot it. One question left, is the rear camera a static zoom?? I can't zoom in/out only auto focus on camera mode?? But can do in video mode. C'mon 8mpx and static zoom??? You kidding me Lenovo!!!

This Handset is solid.. Build quality is very Good.. So don't worry about any Hadware Faults in near future. For Software Faults LENOVO keep updating its Firmware..! Its running on Android KITKAT 4.4.2. I have just received S223_140901 (Build No.) update. So let Lenovo take care for it..! They are continuously removing software bugs.
For Battery... should have no question about 4000mah gigantic battery! It gives me 1 and a half day in intense use of WiFI and sometimes 3G too. It lasts upto two days with full battery!
