Lenovo S930 - user opinions and reviews

hello to all, I also recently buy this phone and facing certain problem.
1. have superuser but no root access
2. no menu icon to open menu and no lotus gadgets (like previous version)
3. in contact there is some Chinese languange.
after doing some browsing i manage to find the solutions
1. root access go to http://shuaji.360.cn/root/ then click pc icon to root from pc or android icon to download root apk it can be easier to install it to phone and run the apps. (yes Chinese language u can figure it out use try and error)
2. menu icon go to http://launcher.lenovo.com/launcher/portal.php and click download button, to download latest launcher for your lenovo.(menu button, lotus gadgets)
3. last but not least Chinese word at contact (u should update contact to latest version. Notification about new update will appear sometime) after done update, go to contact,click menu button at left side pick "features and setting", choose "location" click off for "display number's location"
that all sorry for long review hope this will help u all..i was enjoy with this phone even certain error or lack of something but reasonable with the price.

I do have the same problem with a820, until now don't know how to settle.. Now the phone cannot on already...

hi guys...
im about to buy s930 yhis week... so i would like to knoe several detail like:
1) market price for s930 original set..
2) does it bring u any problem?(for those who already use it)
3)i spent a lot of time to read ur comment and suggestion, and most of u guys had problem with time setting and lag after using camera... is it just for AP set or original set too...
someone please reply me... tq... =)

I have problem with the camera. I just bought this phone and after two days, i opened the camera, Whenever I opened the camera,my phone automatically hang. Can somebody help me?

Can anyone help me with the ui. It seems different than any lenovo or other android phone. Seems the there are no menu icon. Are there any setting involve?

I bought AP S930 Last week, everything seem fine. But the contact book having some serious problem, it treat +601xxxxxxx & 01xxxxxxxx as a different person, so if I record the person phone using 01xxxxxxxx, and the person call me with +601xxxxxxx, no name will show in the screen, same happen to message. Any solution?

AnonD-25398, 21 Mar 2014what bb z10 rm780? its not original it might be duplicate set from chinaIts not duplicate.. its a ap set... big seller like directd or etc have a good reputation In malaysia and they will never sell duplicate set or fake set..

I bought AP set and i found few problems from this S930.
1. Time on top of the screen didn't show the current time.. only time at the screen lock shows the current time..
2. Can't rename contact once u save it..
3. Whatsapp didn't instantly show at the contact if I save a new contact..

Can anyone help me to check something out? Does your s930's Lenovo Power Manager take up 400MB of data(checked inside settings>apps>all)? Is it safe if I clear the Data?
