Bhavi, 23 Jul 2016Lenovo vibe x3 getting hang or not?...because I am looking for new phone. it is lag free
How stupid to take up the secondary sim slot if one needs to expand the memory. Plus non removable battery. SO basically if I am screwed for the battery, I will be having to go to company centre to get my phone serviced, new battery pushed and waste my precious money. The phone heating problem will be faltered too, as one cannot solve it, due to the fact that battery cannot be removed. Pathetic.
Lenovo vibe x3 getting hang or not?...because I am looking for new phone.

Vibe X3 is a great multimedia centric phone and a great VFM product. I own this phone and I know how good it is from spec side. Can you through some pointers about vibe x3 parts view and teardown? I want to know whats inside this phone.
Apart from specs there is also something known as user experience. The seamless experience that my vivo x5max delivers today cannot matched by botched up ota updates from lenovo. Hell if I new the future I would have never updated my vibe x3 as the factory lollipop version when the device was launched was so good.
Anonymous, 22 Jul 2016Very satisfying to hear from u.actually the x5 max is no longer available so what option do I ... moreThe Vibe X3 is going to give you fantastic headphone audio quality along with fantastic speaker quality. You also get a great-looking screen, 3GB RAM and a Snapdragon 808, a large battery, an impressive 21MP camera, Android Marshmallow via update, and lots of extras - fingerprint scanner, NFC, IR Blaster, etc. It's a phone with no compromises - there's nowhere they went cheap to offset the cost of something good.
The X5Max is more expensive, stuck on Android Kitkat, has an underwhelming CPU performance, half the storage, only 2GB ram, no NFC, IR blaster, fingerprint scanner or radio, etc.
I've been searching for a media-focused phone to replace my very old Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0. I've examined reviews of 26 different phones, built a huge spreadsheet comprising over 50 stats, benchmarks, ratings, weighted them, etc. along with taking value into account. I've decided that the Vibe X3 is number one by my multimedia-focused criteria and it's the device I'm going to get. It's one of the very few phones I ended up looking at that had no compromises.

1) Vivo X5Max is available on Amazon India, Flipkart & Snapdeal online retailers.
2) Lenovo Vibe X3 is exclusively available in Amazon India.
Both phones are international versions with full Google services enabled. If you directly import from China you will have no Google services.

Anonymous, 22 Jul 2016Thanks a lot for the reply.how is the audio quality of vibe x3 and x5 max compared to htc m8 a... moreAn HTC M8 or A9 will pull decent audio quality and volume levels through headphones, enough to suffice 90% of phone buyers. The rest 10% are very critical to how audio is produced in the phone and how highly loyal it is to the original sound. In that sense Vivo X5Max and Lenovo Vibe X3 is special. These two smartphones uses DACs, I/V converters and headphone amplifiers from professional audio chip manufacturers like ESS and Texas Instruments and also their best technology available. Secondly they have dedicated secondary power supplies for these audio chips which 99% smartphones lack. This power supply provide pristine and jitter free power to DACs and headphone amplifiers to operate at their maximum to remain highly loyal it is to the original sound.
I also want to point-out it is only audio quality which is important to me in a smartphone, but also the complete user experience. High quality audio starts with lossless audio files like FLAC. These are huge files and I use a 120 gig SD card which is compatible to both X5Max and Vibe X3. Secondly you interact with your music via the audio player and the default player in Vivo named "i-Music" is the best I have come across. It is not the most sophisticated or snazzy looking player. In contrast it is plain looking, simple and very easy to use but provides some novel features:
1) Default support for FLAC file playback
2) You can write "M" for music on the screen when it is off and "i-Music" will start playing.
3) You can swipe on to the right of the screen when it is off and "i-Music" will move to next song while playing.
4) You can press the volume down button when the screen is off and "i-Music" will move to next song while playing.
5) You can swipe on to the left of the screen when it is off and "i-Music" will move to previous song while playing.
6) You can set a timer in "i-Music" after which it will switch off the music and can even shut down the phone if you are asleep in night.
So to me X5Max comes with best music player and best sound quality which provides the winning audio experence. Unfortunately for Vibe X3 we get the Google Music Player which does not support FLAC. You use download free apps like VLC player but the experience leaves a lot to desired in comparison to property apps like Vivo "i-Music".
Hope this helps!!!

Anonymous, 22 Jul 2016Bro which according to u is the best smartphone for audio output via headphones. In terms of audio quality over headphones in phones Vivo X5Max is on top of my list. Lenovo Vibe X3 is right there and just misses the top spot by a whisker. Ofcourse we may have other phones which are as good as these two in sound quality aspect, but I speak on Indian context availability. Vivo Xplay5 Elite is one such example which is not available internationally.
X5Max have much better built quality than Vibe X3, and looks & feels more premium/ upmarket while X3 have better specs than X5Max. Vivo X5Max runs on old android Kitkat but is super stable while Vibe X3 comes with latest marshmallow but Lenovo's OTA updates are very unstable. The truth is X5Max is a 2015 flagship while Vibe X3 is a 2016 flagship. So we should not compare on specs. I bought Vibe X3 to replace my X5Max, but with very unstable android updates rolling out from lenovo it completely destroying my user experience. So now again I am back to X5Max as my primary device, the phone i love. This phone has wow factor, thin factor of just 5.1mm and built like a tank.
Over headphones sound slightly better than Vibe X3 with rock solid performance I prefer X5Max over Vibe X3 any day. But this are my personal thoughts and experiences and others may vary.
To me Vivo X5Max & Lenovo Vibe X3 have set a benchmark in terms of audio quality and headphone volume levels which others are still to surpass.
