Problems with 51mb update:-
1) knock to light feature ie double tap to wake doesn't work properly
2) when using guest mode devices crashes/hang like crazy
3)frequent disconnection when using Wi-Fi
3) BATTERY Drain much faster
IMPROVEMENT AFTER 51MB UPDATE:-
1)Sound quality has improved
2) Contact search issue resolved

I have ordered this phone and I have decided not to update it since I have read on many sites about people complaining about the bugs when the software is updated.
Is this a good idea?

I feel like my battery has improved little bit now to which the issue after 51mb update,without doing factory reset but need some days to figure out whether it's been fixed or not and decide to do factory reset.oh well I began to noticed tat right after the update battery begins to behave little abnormal while browsing n gaming. so finally when the battery reached to 3% giving me continues notification to charge I simply switched off n charged till 100%.With heavy heart I switched on n spent some time on screen I have seen some changes.Right now I'm having 3hr52mnts on screen and 11hr20mnts on standby...with battery still 50% remaining.

Max, 07 Jun 2016Hi after update did you reset the phone I am scared that phone might not get into trouble afte... moreI did not perform a factory reset as I have lot of data in the internal memory. Don't want the hassle of backing up data and restoring it.. its just very time consuming. I am fed up of doing a factory reset after updating the software every time. I was happier using Note 4. The only thing holding me with this phone is the Sound Quality. Its just awesome. Dolby just blasts the ears paired with JBL headphones !!
Update :
Phone is not performing well. even when i use whatsapp to reply to a message, it feels very jerky. Its lagging very often recently after the update.

But after feeling that when marshmallow will come i will have to update at last i decided to take the risk... And updated both updates 317 & 51 mb... neither factory reset nor backup restore.. But i don't feel that there is much difference and problem... Everything almost same...a very little more fluid to be honest.. Will know about it more in coming days... Right now everything is OK...

Never updated software since purchase (Feb-16). Whether updating now is OK with all opinions & apprehensions with regard to battery, Dolby sound etc.
Whether current update will automatically implement previous updates as well?

My battery was good but installing 51 MB update am noticing battery drop like a hell.What was tis update for only bug fix n stability or is it just a cruel tricks to suffer Vibe x3 users.If anyone facing such probs like me and has already fixed please help me what to do and Dear Lenovo team please don't provide us such update in future to destroy yr flagship device rather than fixing it.

Yeah,,,, am using Lenovo s8 50lc tab and if u explore their official Lenovo forums,,, they won't reply for 1000's of customers quiries and their android updates r a big joke,, they r offering 6.0 update for some silly basic models,,, their service centers solutions take 2 months,,, if u buy Lenovo then u have to forget support and updates permentelly.
And their tag line is like " for those who do,,,,,,", so we have to add " forget" to it :D
About this vibe x3,,,,, it's got so much of demand then all rest of the Lenovo products, but it's almost like permentelly out of stock.
Simple software update for volte fulfills the need of it, but they never release, I really surprise about their developers and their strategies.
From last 3yrs am watching them.
Am really feeling very sad about vibe x3 for lacking of volte and hybrid sim/Mc only option and no FM for Indian customers.
I know and can guess that if they launch x4 in coming months, they definitely degrade it like making it more small display or adding just 1 Xtra feature.

Received a 55 MB update on Friday (3 June)
Phone was behaving laggy and was heating a lot after the update
after couple of reboots, phone has become Normal.
Noticed a Slight gain in Battery life. UI has become lil smoother.
Sound quality has also increased slightly.
Current Baseband : MPSS.BO.2.6.c1.4-00012

Now ,after New updation,sometimes bang and restart. I reset my phone twice. No remedy. Please any remedy.
