greg, 22 May 2014Snap 600 loses to Mediatek's octa (2ghz version) so you're not exactly correct.- it doesn't exist in the wild (only on paper)
- the next best version is only 1.66ghz (marketing lie rounds it up to 1.7ghz)
- the fact it scores slightly worse than snap 600 on multithreaded tests means its single threaded speed is less than half as much; this is way more important than multi-threaded performance because most (+/- 85%) apps use only 2 threads and when more threads are used they are typically for low priority tasks where the user doesn't notice the difference in performance

Octa core is a silly gimmick. Snapdragon 600 still holds its own pretty well and blows the mtk octa out of the water in practical situations.

        AnonD-264898, 24 May 2014The word "better" is subjective. K910 = better value for every penny spent. Z2 ... moreZ2 is crawling with bugs (4K recording overheats the phone, the call quality is extremely bad for many people, etc).

        I wouldn't trade my K910 for a Z2 even if they paid me. K910 with the latest official stable kitkat works very good for me. Also I want dual-SIM.

          Z2 = better overall performance but performance over price ratio is low.

            Bought an AP set with dual SIM.I find it an awesome phone to use with excellent camera and lag-free usage owing to its quad core 2.2Ghz processor & 2GB RAM. Battery can last for one whole day for heavy user like me who is doing marketing.Besides, i also found that my AP phone had been pre-rooted and that's why i cannot get phone update by selecting it from the system menu. This explains why many AP set users commented "System stopped or error occured" while attempting to update the phoneware from its system menu.

              AnonD-265243, 22 May 2014does it have led notification?It has LED notification, but only works for builtin programs and a few Chinese programs (Wechat, Weibo).

              The LED is in the speaker grill and hard to see unless right above the phone. Also it doesn't even work with LightFlow (the LED is very weak using that program).

                                    Come from Nokia E61, Samsung P780, HTC HD2, iPhone 4, Lenovo S890, Lenovo P780 & Alcatel Idol X.

                                    Got the K910 Dual SIM AP/Chinese unit during my birthday. Playing for 48 hours now... It's rooted 4.2.2 Jelly Bean... Rooted by myself to Version K910_SS_S_2_040_0109_131226.

                                    A=Android=Vibe UI 1.0 Jelly Bean is acceptable. However, lots of junk/Chinese apps.
                                    B=Body-Built=Sturdy and slightly premium. Chrome accent is desireable.
                                    C=Call quality=Above average. Both sides clear treble with less ambient noice.
                                    D=Data=HSPA modules for micro-SIM 1 are average and stable. Bluetooth is stable.
                                    E=Email=Email client is flexible compared to other Android-based phones. But they work as intended.
                                    F=Free-apps=Chinese junk apps. Root is a must to freeze them.
                                    G=Games=Excellent and smooth due to SD800 and Adreno 330. But juice is the enemy.
                                    H=Hangouts= Video call for Skype, Google Hangouts, Tango etc. is acceptable for 5MP front facing camera.
                                    I=Internet=Chrome browser is smooth. No checker-board effect even heavy websites.
                                    J=Juice=3000mAh="Average". Claimed talk-time, stand-by time, etc. are reasonable for dual-standby-micro-SIM phone.
                                    K=Kamasutra ;-) =Phone vibrates with notification/ringtone. Vibrating sensation is average but not mild.
                                    L=Loudspeaker=loud but crack if treble is too high. Bass is average.
                                    M=Music=Nothing unusual.
                                    N=Navigation=Working as expected. Lock satellite within 10 seconds. Waze and Google Maps are working normally.
                                    O=One-hand Operation=I have "big" hands and "long" fingers ;-) No further comment.
                                    P=Picture=13MP is acceptable with excellent camera features/modes.
                                    Q=Quirks=Customised-Android is stable. No quirks.
                                    R=Radio=FM virtual radio app is OK. As usual, needs earphones to work as the antenna.
                                    S=Sound=Earphone sound is OK. Speaker-phone is OK too but crack if too loud.
                                    T=Texting=Default Baidu keyboard is horrible. Root and replace with SwiftKey.
                                    U=User-Interface=smooth & flexible with various themes to choose. Vibe UI 1.5 for KitKat is refreshing compared to Vibe UI 1.0 Jelly Bean.
                                    V=Video=Capturing 1080P video is acceptable. Auto-focus is acceptable. Electronic-Image-Stabiliser is helpful but not excellent.
                                    W=WiFi=Average. Not as great as iPhone(s). Dual band 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies are a bonus.
                                    X=X-factors=2014 flagship for Lenovo at RM1000.00. Dual-standby-micro-SIM running SnapDragon 800, Adreno 330 and 2GB RAM. Any other similar phones....?
                                    Y=YouTube=The 5.5" screen plus good speaker is a true winner.
                                    Z=Zero-figure. AP unit at Malaysia Ringgit RM1,000-point-zero-zero is a smart move with high internal specs. Excellent for Developers looking for budget phones and having dual-SIM capability.

                                    CONCLUSION : Buy it if desperate to have SnapDragon 800 with Adreno 330. It's like having Galaxy S5's or HTC One M8's engine but at low pricing.
