Announced back in June, the Lenovo Watch X has been on the market for around CNY 299 ($44) but today, the company announced its slightly pricier and more capable Plus variant.
The Watch X Plus comes with Milanese black or silver straps while the screen is OLED with luminous hands. A sapphire glass protects the screen while the housing is made of 316L stainless steel. It offers the barometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic and heart rate sensors and even blood pressure measurement.
A 600 mAh battery keeps it alive for about 45 days of standby time - just like the standard Watch X - and can be submerged into water up to 80 meters.
The asking price of the Watch X Plus is CNY 399 ($58) and the wearable will be available starting tomorrow, August 2. Lenovo has also teased the arrival of leather strap variants for both the Watch X and Watch X Plus - for CNY329 ($48) and CNY 429 ($63), respectively.
Yep...the instructions were in Chinese (even though there are English ones available to download) and weren't very helpful...temperature settings don't work and apparently, Lenovo is aware of this and released the watch regardless...
The few posts on the Lenovo forums say this is a joke. The sensors don't work, or show random values if they do. Like many cheap Chinese products, it sounds like great value on paper, but in fact it's overpriced junk no matter how cheap it is.
