Official update 12.5.365 ST (for Stable) for the ZUI (Chinese/English) ROM is now being pushed OTA to Lenovo Z6 Pro owners. It updates the phone to Android OS 11 with latest Google security patch dated 1 July 21. Adds a full dark mode implementation, adds game mode, adds split screen capability, home page pull down has more accessible feature controls, battery section now has comprehensive info like heavy usage apps and battery temp if you are worried about heat during fast charges. Lots of new themes and wallpapers. Download is 3.16 GB, install takes about 10 minutes with required reboot. Played around with the new ZUI version a bit, tried a new theme and then working with my most used apps, found no issues apparent.

The major phone service providers in China have been pushing 5G calling and data plans hand in glove with the construction of infrastructure but it still is a hard sell due to the cost differential vs 4G. While many here at GSMArena like to focus comments on Lenovo's lower end models, the real bellwethers are the top tier releases that incorporate the latest hardware and very competent software. They consistently are among the first to release new tech and usually at very competitive relative price points. Why not in the U.S.? Motorola is the U.S. brand and their niche is mid-market value, not bleeding edge tech and certainly not the phone gaming early adopters that drive higher profits per unit in Asia.

I chose the k20 because i had a terribl... moreNot sure about the 5G version specifically, but the Lenovo Z6 Pro with the Chinese/English ROM gets regular OTA updates, including a conversion from Android 9 to 10 last year. I think getting the Chinese/English version of these Lenovo phones is a much better bet to get all of the latest updating from Lenovo. The updates themselves have been really nice upgrades in improving camera performance, OS enhancements and so on. Other Chinese manufacturers just seem to do a small change and swap out the embedded ads.

Had a hard time deciding between this and the k20 pro. I chose the k20 because i had a terrible experience with my lenovo tab 2 before. It never received any software update, and thought this z6 pro might end up the same.
