I cannot even mute it in 3rd party camera apps, I tried. Only some models have the option for no sound. You can google, I did already.

pino, 19 Apr 2015dont ever uninstall apps but freeze them. uninstalling apps kills OTA update on most devices a... moreI have never spoken of rooting if that is what you thought I was hinting to... but there are certain things that you are allowed to uninstall and there are things you installed yourself that cause battery drain and you can get rid of. Of course you cannot uninstall nearly any preinstalled apps, but you can disable them (freeze) and you can uninstall updates and replace the apps with factory versions, which doesn't hurt the phone or sw at all, sometimes it even helps as for example for me google maps after updating kept on switching gps on and caused battery drain, so I replaced the app with factory version (uninstalled updates), rebooted the phone and all was good again. No rooting or complete uninstalling involved and my maps are still functional.

Anonymous, 18 Apr 2015I have a LG G2 and my battert drains fast, i usually use it in 20% and it lasts for browsing 5... moreif i read that right thats 7 hours total with gaming so that would be good considering games use a LOT more power.

my record so far is 9,5 hours screen on time in 2 days and 6 hours with all browsing and whatsapp i dont game on phones as it drains.

so without your gaming you should it near that 9 hour mark. and with the tweaks i have made youd hit a little more.

And disable or uninstall apps you don't ever use. You didn't really say anything about your phone. What's running on the background, what version of Android you are on. Do you ever reboot it? You use your phone in 20%? What does that mean? No one can really help you if you aren't clear enough.

Rim, 18 Apr 2015Really? You can't silence the camera sounds? If you mean the "shutter" does it react... moreOf course setting phone to silent makes the camera go silent too (thank god) and as for OTG cable + flash drive, that is the reason I am happy with 10ish GB for now. Just last night I did some apps updating and it started to eat my battery like another phone would... so I uninstalled updates (especially maps, that helped, kept on switching gps on before), disabled some stuff I don't use and voila! 1% battery going down every few hrs when not in use. And I managed to get over 1GB of free RAM haha. Happy happy with this phone. Just visible digitizer in sun is smth annoying tho... not enough for me to be annoyed considering the rest of the phone. :)

If you mean the "shutter" does it react to the sound settings of phone (not the apps volume)? If I switch mine to vibration or silent mode, it also turns off the shutter sound of camera.

As for missing SD card. This can be partially remedied because the phone supports OTG. There are some really small flashdrives and card readers for the microUSB. I've seen some guys using up to 64GB flash drive with this phone.
