well if lg K8 is able to run 6.0 how come that G2 being krait400 sd800 not the poor mtk ... with 2.26 ghz not 1.3 and more ram not 1.5 insted 2gb and betetr grphic card same hardware than nexus 5 6.0 already and lg still has the device stock with 5.0.2 come on atleast we should have 5.1.1 this is terrible.... not that 5.0.2 works bad well atleast mine is ok with that version on my cingular D800 but ...... id like to get G4 ux atleast so i dont have to use cloudy or cheloz wich are plagged with bugs ....
Oh yeah, almost forgot it,before starting doing anything do homework-check is your G2 D800/D801/D802....etc etc etc...and do Backup, its up to you. Some roms like M custom roms on 6.0 Android OS version maybe will need slightly adjustments with camera, but dont worry-simply installing another camera app will do the job.
@Rahab I dont think there will be official M update, because there is only 5.0.2 as latest official version of Android OS,but you can always root your phone, release this G2's inner beast and flash twrp-custom rom of your choice(one you will find perfect for yourself).Personally i recommend everyone to root, install twrp and flash custom rom, because totally stock rom is like having s*x with condoms,if you get me? :) (kinda safe, but feeling is dead) :D
TechSrb, 07 Mar 2016I got installed,Google Edition 1.5 debloated stock rom on 5.0.2 android trough TWRP,also i hav... moreI know exactly what you mean. I will try the 1.5 ROM as well and I recomend everyone to try it. Hopefully LG does release an official 6.0 soon.
Hi, i have g2 korean version, i'm facing a problem when i try to activate an internet bucket by dialing *5501# it makes a call instead of acitvating the bucket. plz help fix this issue.
Pls any one with the experience should tell me what is bootstack and/or radio? and which one is by default the one for the vs980?
AnonD-511315, 05 Mar 2016I have one. It's WiFi and Bluetooth is dead. The dead consumes the battery like crazy it gets ... moreso then why u dont try another chager or atleast use ur brothers one for a while ....
Soo... No new news regarding any official updates ?
I keep checking, but seems to me we are left to 5.0.2. Too bad...
I got installed,Google Edition 1.5 debloated stock rom on 5.0.2 android trough TWRP,also i have flashed Snapdragon Camera.Honestly that Snapdragon Camera is excellent, pictures have extra quality, focusing is insane but needs some skills if using manual focusing and video recording is stabilised to maximum with also extra quality. So,untill 6.0 android custom rom does not come out as 99% stable official,im sticking to this rom on 5.0.2.There are some 6.0 roms given as official, but i dont find them stable as they should be,those roms are about 95% finished, but 4-5% makes huge difference.
Hey guys how do I know whether I'm to download for 10B, 11A, or 26A, in downloading the stock firmware for my vs989
I have one. It's WiFi and Bluetooth is dead. The dead consumes the battery like crazy it gets hot reaching 41 degree Celsius. Now the touchscreen is malfunctioning it's keep pressing a spot on a screen by itself. Now I just use it for taking pictures because it still works. But my brother's same exact phone, LG G2 32GB, is working just fine until now though he bought the phone earlier than me. I really suspect that my charger is the culprit. I charges so damn fast, unlike my brother's LG G2 charger because my charger ampere is higher. The heat is really the one that cripple my phone.
g2 user , 03 Mar 2016What's the easiest way to flash kitkat?well if u have at&t version D800 then use flash tool method with tot files for 4.4.2 but if u have anotehr variant like D802/801/805 then kdz method is for u
Rim, 03 Mar 2016All G2 models support 4G connection. Just different frequency bands. The American models suppo... moreThey might be common international bands as well, which would be used on an international plan. Of course, country restrictions would still apply if the phone doesn't support that region.
AnonD-510033, 02 Mar 2016I heard that, some of g2 model variants do not support 4g, so it will be adviseable to non USA... moreAll G2 models support 4G connection. Just different frequency bands. The American models support frenquencies used in America... but why would they support for example some Asian-only bands if the device was never intended to be used there? That's what the problem is about. You should check the bands used in your country and by your particular carrier and compare them to the bands supported by each individual G2 model so you find out which models are compatible with your local networks.
